The Russians are given very little if anything at all when it comes to amenities or even basic things like winter socks which reminds them that they are only Putin's canon fodder! And no.. not the one Kremlin is giving out as this is made up for the West. Putin is openly saying that he does not belive Ukraine has a right to exist. He had asked for example Poland already in 2008 to split up Ukraine. The only other way to avoid this war would have been for Russia to install a puppet goverment in Kiew that only acts on his words. Ukrainian didn't wanted that as they don't trust russians anymore just like all Baltic countries and other neighbours. (I wonder why....) The ukraine and russia already had a peaceful deal worked out. The west on behalf of Boris Johnson went to ukraine and convinced the president to stop negotiations and go to war. NATO has broken several very important agreements made with russia since the end of world war 2. Things like putting nuclear weapons and NATO stationing on the border countries of russia for a long time now when we agreed not to. Think if russia started making military bases and stations in canada and mexico. Ukraine has no chance of winning this war. Its like if the US went to war with mexico. Sandia is situated on a Kirtland Air Force Base and early on I participated in a collaborative research project with members of the Air Force research laboratory also situated there. Russian Women can not do combat roles, serve on ships, as aircrew, be snipers, gunners, drivers, sentries or mechanics, and are not conscripted either, so I guess that leaves admin, instruction & nursing. Ukraine has 50,000, about 10,000 are on or available for, service on the front line according to Ukraine Military Officials (report by Aljazeera).

This reminds me of the scene in the movie, Battle of The Bulge, where the German officer realizes if the Allies have enough fuel to fly a cake from America to an American soldier fighting in Europe the war has been lost. Ukraine’s Allies can provide new uniforms for expectant mothers, who are fighting the Russians in Ukraine, while Russia cannot even provide proper winter boots for its Russian soldiers. This tells me Russia has lost the war in Ukraine.

I would rather think they are working in some logistics (as drivers for example) or as nurses/doctors or others. There are A LOT of things that have to be done that don't involve direct fighting.

Always makes me wonder why the Germans and Japanese thought they could outlast the Allies. Even if they controlled Europe and Asia, they still wouldn't be able to invade North America and we'd just use our massive resources here to eventually defeat them. Same with the Russians today. They know NATO would crush them in battle so they're left fighting one nation that has the support of the West. What a waste of lives and resources.

I enjoyed seeing the longer version of this interview earlier. They never had female uniforms at all before this company designed them, so women were very glad to finally have sturdy clothing which fits their bodies! They also make uniforms for pregnant women, with adjustable waistbands. Very needed in Ukraine!

That's amazing - I was just thinking about all those women we saw volunteering for military training right at the start of this invasion, wondering what had happened to them - where they are now and how they're going.
