My mother grew up in Hungary during WW2. She spoke of planes flying overhead while she walked through the fields of her small hometown farming community, bullets sometimes flying around her. Often, she'd wave at the pilots to let them know she's just an innocent little kid, and sometimes, they'd wave back. When the Russians were coming, an American convoy came through her town to retrieve any Americans. My mom was born in NY, USA, but lived with her grandmother to grow up in Hungary, like her own mother. The entire family was split up due to the war. They managed to leave Europe on a ship bound for the United States, but not before her father was murdered. PTSD didn't hit her until years later. I am a child who grew up while she suffered from it. I saw the light slowly go out of her eyes in the throes of the memories she could never erase. This is the despicable outcome of war waged by selfish men who lust for power without conscience. It destroys generations of good people who just want to live their lives in peace with the love of their families around them. Who will be strong enough to say we make war no more forever?!?!

...I have two conflicting story from two family members living in the opposite parts what's now Slovakia. One living west (near Bratislava the capital) said that when Germans occupied their small village, they were polite and civilised. When they heard that Russians are pushing the front, they told the family "Hide daughters and valuables!" When Russian soldiers came it was a disaster. They relieved themselves in the house, they WERE asking for girls and valuables. My aunt's sister were in a pig pen for 2 days until this "liberating" bunch left. The other story is from the eastern part of Slovakia a walking distance from what used to be part of Czechoslovakia, after WW2 it became Ukraine suddenly. Germans past and Russians past. Russian soldiers wanted to take a cow away along with some valuable items, kill the chickens and grandma begged them that she needs to feed her son. When someone shot the office of that 'liberating' bunch, soldiers scattered and were not seen after that. People said that Germans were bad guys during the war, well, local stories beg the difference in that account. So we have to evaluate EVERYTHING what being rammed down our matrix media. If you were not there and if you do not have a person that you personally know YOU JUST DON'T KNOW! I have friends who's family members are in Ukraine and they tell different stories as well. It is popular to say bad Russians. But can you justify the NATO's expansion and atrocities it left behind!? Why there was a suddenly war in former Yugoslavia while up until then EVERYONE there lived peacefully? Why did "Velvet Revolution" happened in Czechoslovakia? It was organised take down of whatever was left of civilised and peaceful countries of Europe. Once you clump different countries under one 'governance' body you can control them all more efficiently. And the leaders have sold their native lands to the powers to be, we all can read between the lines....Pray to the Most High, King of Kings. Without mentioning His name EVERYONE knows who that is.

It is unfortunate that WAR is such a great BUSINESS for a few people. This is exactly why US President Eisenhower in his last speech warned the world about the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX, but nothing was done about it. Today this profitable complex is in charge of US foreign policies. The US NEEDS WARS so they can export many weapons. All those hundreds of millions of dollars Biden is offering Ukraine today, are being spent INSIDE THE US Military Industrial Complex factories, Ukraine gets the weapons, not the money.

LOL "brave Ukrainians" This entire war started because of "brave Ukrainians" (neo-Nazi Banderists) who murdered civilians en masse in 2014-2022 before Russia finally gave up on hopeless negotiations and used military force to resolve the problem. And oh boy is it getting resolved....UAF has been obliterated. They have none of their own supplies and equipment to even fight with, everything now is from NATO and most of that has already been destroyed too. Even the troops are coming from NATO. Thankfully all of the "brave Ukrainians" are dead or captured and the 6th wave of mobilization, yes the SIXTH WAVE, they don't even want to fight....hopefully Zelensky gets assassinated before Ukraine loses 2 entire generations to a war started by the CIA Eastern Ukraine isn't really Ukrainian and never was. Yes, as I just wrote myself, the silver lining of this war is that we get this kind of reporting. We get to see everyday life, hear tales of heroics and triumphs ("Russian warship, go * yourself!"), and reporting in a way that makes the conflict and the people involved relatable. We get reporting like "Ukrainian forces have liberated an area the size of (insert familiar city or region in your country here)". Had it been another war in Africa, it wouldn't have gotten this kind of detailed, in-depth coverage, we'd just get the usual generic footage of menacing soldiers, crying women, and children in refugee camps. Oh, and white saviours holding black babies.

@@safe-keeper1042 Although this Ukraine war has more of a geopolitical importance, I have to agree that this war is way too covered than it's actually needed. With the Cold War the Soviets defeated the Nazis, and America questioned if communism was actually a way of life that was working, but the Russians saw past communism, and many realized it wasn't a way of life that was working for their country, Mac Donalds and Levis were placed in Red Square it must have been a day of greatness to many Russians to know that the days of the past union were over and at last, peace was with their country they were free and could experience the food we ate for years at Mac Donalds, but then within the years of the early two thousand's Putin stepped up as president, Putin betrayed an innocent country, Ukraine just wanted to be of its own country and there is no problem with that, but to Putin it is a problem, launching a full scale invasion on Ukraine just as the world thought all the war and terrorism was over, this isn't right, nothing he is doing is right, he has no respect for Ukraine, he wants everyone in the country of Ukraine to suffer, he doesn't care the people of Ukraine used to be a part of his own country, he doesn't care they speak his own language, all he cares about is seeing them suffer, all he cares about is sending his army into a war they're unprepared for, he is as clear as daylight a dictator, Russia deserves better then to watch over as their own president strikes down upon an innocent country, Ukraine deserves freedom and liberty, this war needs to end, Russia needs a new president, Ukraine needs this war to end they need to spend years rebuilding their country after this is truly over, this will as you said never be forgotten, this will be remembered as a war as worse as WW2, and as for Ukraine as I said when this over there will be a lot of family's desperate for answers and it will take them years to rebuild from the damages that's occurred across their country, personally as a Canadian I sit here watching all this unfold on the news and I can only cry knowing a war is happening in the mid twenty thousand's this isn't what anyone wants to be hearing in this generation, in this generation all we ask of all countries is peace, I hope the best to Ukraine and it's people whom are scattering for safe living and abandoning their home country for safety.
