Wow, Clint Smith and now Mike Glover! Mr. Carr your podcast is crushing it right out of the gate. Can’t wait for future episodes, please do a podcast with Larry Vickers.

I’ve recently discovered your books (late to the party again) and with just a few chapters of The Terminal List remaining, I’m hooked!.). Ray Porters ability to switch from male/female voices and from language or accent to another is simply amazing. You already have a 5 star rating from me. Mike Glover is one of those seemingly few men who have become a voice of reason in a world, and country, that is falling apart. Listening to former SF guys or SEAL’s will never get old.

Mike mentions Boy Scouts and their problems. I can’t agree more and am thankful that I was part of this org in the 70-80s when the oath meant something. Proud to be an Eagle Scout

Tim Kennedy has mentioned his dream to start a children's private school, if we could get that paired with a dream version of a Fieldcraft adolescent scouts organization, I think we could take a small sigh of relief regarding America's future 😄👍 Although that 5th grade end of course exam would be a bitch! 🤣 There are still plenty of youth living a tough visceral life, but often it's not by decision to improve their future, and rarely contains any positove guidance. Turning that negative into a positive could vastly improve our country's future. Individual isolationism mixed with social media influence combined with a relatively "easy" life where it's so common to lack "purpose" which in return can cause eagerness to quickly seek out someone else's. This is a dangerous situation for all of America's youth, thus the USA as a whole 🙁 (just my opinion)

History is written by the conquerors: how much do you think has truly been lost over the ages? Sacking the great library of Alexandria etc etc etc. Every day in age.

As a young kid living on a cattle ranch I used to spend a lot of time reading an old encyclopedia my parents had. We didn't have tv reception so it was part of my entertainment. I learned a lot of things other people of my age don't know. Things that shoud be common knowledge, in my traditional viewpoint. Like etiquette rules. Walking on the side of the street when walking with a woman. May seem stupid to many, but less-than-traditional women have expressed appreciation about little things like that. I read about that when I was 12. If you don't know traditional etiquette, look it up. At least you can choose to not follow it if you don't want to. If you don't know it you're just ignorant about it.

why "got out immediately" tell you everything to know that what he says is 100%"? is that like the confirmed story among other witness stories?

I had that SWAT TEAM book! I would later end up meeting one of the Modesto PD SWAT members during an ATD in the USMCR. You could spot him in the group photo in the book since he wore an 8-point cover similar to a Marine Corps cover, but in navy blue.

Great discussion. Current generations and technology are advancing and retarding our society at the same time. Worked with a few TF16 guys in Iraq. They'd show up at our TOC, set up shop for a night or two, some stuff would happen, wouldn't see them for a few weeks or months. The reason they were created is still the reason we are in the Middle East today and why we can't get out without negatively impacting the people. Read a lot about Vietnam, LRRPs, and MACV-SOG while deployed.

One thing I always wanted to go and see was the tomb of the unknowns, changing of the guard. Never got around to it cause any free time I did have, I spent it backpacking or hunting. Now DC is a place I would rather not go. Hopefully that changes in the future.

I loved the part about having a library of books/periodicals especially in the case of no power/no internet. I follow your monthly reading list but I wonder if Mike has a list of suggested books as well. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for The Devil's Hand. Keep up the good work.

I signed up for the Army in the summer of 2003, a month or so after I got my green card. Good ASVAB scores, wanted to go intel, but as a foreign national, they wouldn’t allow me any MOS with a clearance so I ended up an 88M. I told them I spoke German, Italian and Hungarian fluently and if they stationed me in Italy, Germany of Kosovo, I could be helpful so the Army in its infinite wisdom put me in a Cavalry unit within 3rd ID that required a secret clearance 🙄 My new CO sat me down with my jacket and immediately sent me to an introductory Arabic class so I could learn the basics and pass them onto our company before we drove up to Baghdad in January of 2005.

Jack, read all your books and will continue to read them as they come to print/audio. But I will be unsubscribing from your channel now that you brought this crook, glover on. He is a grifter. Stole lots of money by way of "donations", from sheeple who thought he was a leader, and bought personal "toys". I honor and thank him for his military service but greed and self righteousness has turned him to the dark side. Looking forward to your next book. OUT
