Exactly Jolene my late Grandfather side were Staunch Protestant from somewhere near Ballymoney County Antrim I'm still researching where in Ireland and why my great great Grandparents fled Ireland around 1889 with 3 toddlers and one on way which was my great Grandfather they were like my Scottish Grandmother Staunch Catholic side damn incredibly hard workers some were working at 13 years old. It's weird I never really knew we were Irish but we always had very very strong urge and feeling Ireland was calling us I hope one day to visit wich won't happen as I'm profoundly severely disabled and bed bound with lot health issues but I have friends and relatives doing the journey for me This song always hits me so hard its not the fact I have Irish ancestors but don't no if it's because we were brought up in dire poverty never no money for luxuries lived by each Blessed day Our Blessed Mother Mary and her sons will and got on with it as wot lies in front of us won't come before us its by their will to wot happens to us not us take each day as Blessing songs like this are not made anymore Singers if you can call it that can't sing to save themselves there no true genuine feelings of wot there trying Sing no empathy compassion meaning or zest etc etc this is such beautifully moving humbling version I'll defiantly pass it on to my relatives and friends thank you for this loving thought provoking humbling version you have lovely soothing Irish accent where in Ireland are you from if you don't mind me asking just curious u don't need to answer

​@@lozzii1917 such a powerful and moving history. My Grandma has Irish in her blood but our Irish origins are unfortunately the ones we know least about. She turns 90 this year. I feel your sentiment about so many songs with no empathy or real depth and feeling to either the words or the voice. It means so much that you say my voice and expressions are emotive and worth sharing with your relatives. I have a lot of original songs that I bring my full emotive expressions to, as well. I might recommend to you my songs "Whisper With the Wind" and "The Passage of Flames". Have a most blessed day and God speed to your health 🙏🎵
