Fieldsports Britain - Deer Stalking on the Beach

Tim Pilbeam gets an unusual hunting ground. He is off to thin out the red hinds on a beach in West Scotland. The animals are in the forestry behind the beach, but the beach itself provides the best access. Meanwhile, the South Somerset Ferreters are catching rabbits along a 300-yard straight hedge. It's a huge bury, 12ft wide in places and riddled with holes. David is back on the Fieldsports Channel news stump and the best hunting on KZbin makes it in to this week's Hunting KZbin. I spy kite Happy New Year to all the beautiful people at Fieldsports Channel. The stalking looks excellent and the ferreting electric. Those South Somerset Ferreters aren't scared of hard work, are they? Fieldsports that require a shovel are not for me. Though we did used to use the ferreters to get our dogs steady "back in the day" as the young 'uns say! Keep up the good work and hopefully every subscriber and fieldsports enthusiast will have a safe and successful 2019.

PS: Charlie, just finished reading your great grandfather's incredible book 'Sniping in France' and was amazed by the competence gap across the lines, early in the war. It would seem that your ancestor's work saved immeasurable quantities of allied soldiers' lives.

@@fieldsportstv I can imagine - there is a lot to try to make sense of. One reason I found this book gripping is that my extended family lost an ancestor to a German sniper at Arras. I did a little basic research a while ago, unit movements etc, but I had no idea there existed such a definitive record of the condition of sniping and counter-sniping as this book. The German military seems to have been so much better prepared to operate in this way, in what appears to have been an allied armies' blind-spot.
