Fiesta ST air box Hack

I basically cut the bottom off mine and made a st200 air box with extra air feed and it sounds awesome

Yeah it’s a great cheap mod. I have upgraded to a CAI now which sounds harmonic

you juste cut the bottom of the airbox open and you have an st200 airbox, or am I wrong ?

@@Kamui.. it’s all about getting an extra air feed into the box just google it or the mountune air box and you will see

I ended up cutting heaps of holes in the side. You can hear induction noise and BOV so this is a great cheap mod for people.

I was thinking about cutting the bottom out, but i think water could get in

Yeah I saw someone do that but I was the same. Didn’t want water to get in either. I ended up doing heaps of holes in the side and sounds nice

youve added an opening thats bigger than the turbo inlet. and the inlet pipe inside diameter. it didnt add power. so youre just going to add more holes? its obviously not a restriction.

I have had no issues, I even put more holes in lower down. I will be removing the air box this week so I will show you it in a video. So subscribe and you will get a notification when I up load it.

Great did it make it louder? Also have you heard about the st200 airbox and the panel/ drop in foam filter supposedly increasing torque figures and noise?

@@sl-fu3uh yeah I have heard of that set up. Mine made good noise induction and increased the Blow off noise. I will be fitting a different system this week so can let you know the difference. Will be fitting the Airtec CAI. I got better throttle response with this and maybe a slight increase in HP.

Supposedly the stock boxes are pretty good in these keep air cold which help with fuel compared to induction kits and with the drop in filter supposedly with just some holes preform better I've seen some fiestas with tunes to prove this right however its all part of the fun not being certain XD but looking forward to the upload anyway👍

@@sl-fu3uh holes facing inwards to the hot engine bay cant be a good thing. car will over heat with stock intercooler and those holes sucking hot air

that's not a hack tbh allot of people have done it before on older cars years ago, car sucking in warm air from engine bay with those holes drilled
