Mike, I have seen KZbinrs give tours of stores but not the owner. Let alone an in depth look at every section that they offer. Kudos to you Mike. You go above and beyond for your customers giving us FREE info from the basics to putting much needed charts of information together that even the manufacture did not spend the time to put together. So I say from a newbie to the hobby, THANK YOU for doing the extra for us. Matt-

Loved the tour.....but one little thing....lol when u would show the kato stuff I just started to focus on what u had....and ur gone. I have an idea. If ur trying to show what u have do a section video. If u have time. But if this is all on ur website....then forget what I just said and I will walk away with my tail tucked. Lol thanks for the great video!!!!! LOVE YOUR PLACE.....Living my dream....

Mike Fifer ...I was trying to add in a little dog humor cause u showed the dogs urs and the neighbors. I'm a dog lover myself. I have a alaskan malamute that just turned a year in December and she between 150-200 Will find out Monday at the vet for updated shots. Put her in ur back yard and I don't think u would have to worry. Lol do u still have any of those kato Denny' s? Thank you. I'm just randomly jumping on your videos not know the year. Just so u know.....I'm not looking down before I should on the comments with dates. Also do u have a video of ur whole layout? I'm in N.Y. and we are getting bad winds right now and trees are falling left and right. A pine tree fell across the road out front. Fireman cut it up and moved it. Gust 60mph+ thank you

Wonderful tour video Mike. A great insight into the operations of your business. Many thanks for sharing. Ross (Ps. The Kato Unitrak homemade feeder joiners tutorial on your website has proved invaluable for me recently. I've just switched to using Unitrak and your info helped a great deal. Many thanks for that too.)

Thanks for showing us around, I Too seen some stuff I.m going to have to get. I need to check yor web page better, lol. You have what I always wanted your train shop at the house! Perfect!
@IMRROcom9 жыл бұрын
That is the one thing you do not get with online stores. Just walking the place will almost always buy something that I did not know I need. But with online stores I for a specific thing etc. Just in this video I see a few things I would like or do not have or did not know I needed or wanted. I need to get the new Walthers N&Z catalog. I would normally get this kind of stuff from Roy's Train World before it closed. Buildings is a huge plus and I always like to look at them. You guys know that some HO buildings are relay "N" scale and "Z" just sold as "HO" It might be a good idea to pick some of them up and remind people that they are "N" and not HO.

It was very nice to "go shopping" with you, Mike. I'm wondering if the sheds are climate controlled or if the products are ok in the heat. I'm glad Scooter and BT are on security alert. That's a lot of inventory to protect on a residential property!

like to know how you can do a hobby business with no inventory. at one time years ago I want to do something like this and almost all the places I went to ask about being a dealer said I needed a store front. with rent being so high for store space you cant start something like this in there. just asking. I see you are doing this out of your shop.

Hi mike I have a question I am changing the trucks on my atlas n scale cars with micro trains trucks with couplers. How do I determine the shank length for freight cars I mean what is prototycal.
@N-Scale6 жыл бұрын
Most are short shank. 60 foot beer cars and some other stock with the trucks set back from the need of the car may use medium but rarely any longs. Thanks , Mike
@daveblaedow84198 жыл бұрын

Hi Mike, thanks for the tour. I've been watching you videos for a long time now and I really like your insight into the hobby. I have a question for you that I hope you can help me with. I am trying to hook up signal lights for my Kato dbl crossover switch and I'm having trouble. Nothing special, just red and green signals coming from both directions. Green for "straight and red for "divergence". I'm going to follow them up with corresponding lights on my control panel. Can you help me? Please? Steve

Hello Mike, I for one will never purchase any Tomix train supply. I have bought several items in N Scale and all the instructions are in Japanese and you go to look up any information and it's all in Foreign languages and you ask the dealer for help and in broken english they say it's what I ordered. I have never had so much trouble with Tomix. Even the N scale trucks or forktrucks are in foreign Japanese writing and you have to guess where the parts go.

That is todays world I guess. Nothing made here any more.
