Maono DM30 OR Fifine AM8. Which is better?

The AM8 sounds nice and clear on its own, and can handle shouting better. DM30 can sound great with software but, it distorts. If budget is no concern, I prefer the AM8.

@@UdiShoots Out of the box I prefer the A8 sound. With software, I like how the DM30 can sound. They both distort when you get loud. But, the DM30 is 24-bit which means more flexibility in post. So for features I like the DM30, but the A8 was a mic that got me clients so I at least know it's that reliable.

Hi Dave! Great review,but personally couldn't stand the ASMR part, haha! I have a question. I am looking for a mic to use for streaming, voice chat and overall when I game. Would you recommend this one for that? Thanks!

For gaming, this is great if your space is quiet. If it isn’t, you’re better off getting the Maono DGM20 for noise cancellation! If you want futureproofing for recording voiceovers, go with the Fifine K688 or Am8, but they don’t have noise cancellation. But they reject surrounding noise better than this A8 plus.

Amazing vid! also when it comes to dynamic mic, which is better pd200x or fifinek688? The pd200x had a software and 24bitrate but idk if it sounds good

I also think the PD200x might sound great! 24-bit plus software is a solid consideration. It hasn't arrived yet, but I'll definitely make a video about it!

@@adamgreen4336 I’m afraid I can’t confirm that, as I haven’t used the A9. It appears like a newer version of the A8 plus, but I can’t personally vouch for it as I haven’t tested it.

I know that the two have different proposals and especially the prices, but let's say the prices are similar, which of the two do you think is a better choice, Fifine AM8 or A8+? Here in my house there is a little noise but when you close the bedroom door this noise reduces, so would it be worth going for the A8+ or even with the noise reduction filters is the AM8 the best choice?

Reaper! You can technically use it for free, but a discounted commercial license costs $60 which is good enough for most starting out.

Hi! The AM8 for clarity, K688 for smoothness, and A8 Plus for clarity and multiple polar patterns. Con with the A8 plus is doesn't have XLR compatibility unlike the other two.

I just got my a8 plus yesterday, and I noticed it only registers my voice but is unable to register things like my keyboard, mouse, or my finger snaps. I just wanted to do a short asmr test but sadly idk what to do to fix it.

Have you tried switching polar patterns? If your keyboard is behind your mic, Figure 8 will do wonders. You could also try omnidirectional.

Yes, I like it better than the K658, at least for my voice. The highs on the K658 sound a bit oversharpened. But note that the K658 has better noise rejection and can handle loud speaking a bit better. I wouldn't "upgrade" do this if I had a K658.

I have a fifine T669 and im considering upgrading my mic for work since I work in studio type condo and wanted to minimize the white noise what microphone should I get? Should I consider AM8, K688, or A8 plus?

If it’s white noise you want to minimize, the A8 plus is the way to go. You can get a loud signal without fully turning the gain up, unlike the K688 and AM8. However, it will capture more of your environmental noise due to its sensitivity.
