I have a GMC and it came with the puck system too. It makes it really easy to install and remove the hitch in the bed. Its like one of those greatest inventions of all time😂😂. Great video!!

Note: with RAM trucks, when you assemble these new legs, make sure have the front & rear in the correct position! The 2 front pucks are a different size than the rear pucks. VERY important when you install the hitch head to the bracket/legs. I messed it up the first time I assembled one.

I just installed one in a new Ram 3500 Dually. I would have never thought of doing the install myself if it wasn't for this video. Be sure to torque everything down to the required specs.

I am adding the puck Curt A 25 to my Ram 3500 SRW to pull my 34' Solitude. So probably very comparable to what you have. I am a bit confused over the height. Did you leave it at the middle setting? What size bolt was it? Thanks!

Great video.. I have weather techs in my super duty. I like them but they get very stiff in the cold.. I like the rugged ridge mats we have in loris jeep much better.

Hello, I'm going from a Ford to a New Ram 3500 dually, and my B&W hitch wouldn't work with my new RAM. I'm looking at the purchasing the Curt 24k hitch just like the one that you installed. Can you tell me what all was involved after you dropped the hitch into the 4 holes on the puck system? Did you just turn the 4 levers at each corner? Is this all that holds it in place? is it good and secure in the bed? If so, then I don't think there's any need to pay an installer $400++ to install it. Thank you.

The initial setup was really easy. You may need to adjust the bolts on the top of each arm the first time so that it opens and closes with only slight tension. It should be easy and not have to force it. After that, you just drop it in and turn the grey bars to lock it and then put the pin in. It is very secure to the bed. No wiggle at all, even when not towing. It was a fairly easy install. Just make sure to read the instructions and torque everything to the documented specifications.

* Update. I wished that I had my fifth wheel on hand when I was installing this hitch, as your plan was absolutely the way to go. Those parts weighed a TON. You should have heard me groan as I was lifting the head in place as my wife was trying to get the bolts into the right hole....Arrrgghh! I followed you vid to a tee, and I see what you meant by reading the directions closely, as the handle install & torquing of the bolts was super important. Did you experience any trouble in unlocking this hitch? When I got to my destination, I found it an absolute bear for the handle & those double jaws to open up as there was absolutely zero wiggle room on the king pin. Luckily there was another rv'er there that was able to assist me in jerking the truck slightly back & forth until the handle would open. Did you end up throwing away the white plastic ring/ hitch protector? I'm thinking that I may have to take mine off and apply a little grease to the head instead so that I have a little bit more wiggle room to play with. Any suggestions? My last hitch was another Curt, but only had a single jaw. Thanks.

We absolutely love it! Totally different towing experience. You have a lot more stability with the 4 wheels back there. What year are you looking for? They are all great!

It disconnects with 4 pins and turning the handle on each foot. Now, getting it out isn’t easy bc it weighs a lot! But yes, the process is easy.

The hitch head pivots but isn’t shock absorbing. There is very little chucking but we also drive a finally so it doesn’t get pushed around nearly as much as when we had a SRW.

Sorry about that. Super simple. Sit it in the existing holes of the bed, turn the latches and put the pins in. You’re done. RAM has done a good job of making it easy. However, it’s heavy and easier with two people. Hope this helps. Have a good one!

I have a Curt 30k that goes into my 2020 Ram 3500 but it is a pain in the 🫏 to get it to seat in the holes correctly. Works great when it latches in. Bought the truck and hitch at the same time. Can’t seem to figure it out what the problem is. Haven’t used my trailer for a couple years though due to life circumstances.

Vague?? This was about the most detailed install you'll ever find. Nothing vague about this install. I just finished installing this very hitch on a '21 Ram 3500, and followed Harold's video to a Tee. Works just fine.
