Remember that the 3.8 second 0-60 time is at 500 horsepower, not 1,000hp as the Mustang doesn't achieve peak HP until 3rd gear or past 80mph.

I guess no one was listening when she said it only has 500hp in first gear. The extra power is added through 2nd and 3rd gears. So the 0-60 time is based on a 500hp 1st and 700hp 2nd.

@simon199418 bugatti used a W16 engine. this is because 16 cylinders make a more even and smooth poveroutput than a big V8 engine so the mechanical components dont get too much stress and also because it has mor torque. the 4 turbochargers are quite small ones. they used 4 small ones instead one big one to eliminate the turbohole in the lower RPMs. small turbos spool up faster than big ones. this results in more torque in the lower rpm. you can also build a 8000hp engine with a v8 => dragster

Though I will say, 600hp in a Shelby GT500 is awesome, I can't even imagine a 1000hp version. To all of you saying Mustangs are bad, go for a ride in one, and I can guarantee you will crap your pants if it has 1000hp.

3.8 seconds to 60. thats quite amazing imo. except the mitsubishi evolution 9 does 3.9 to 60 but the car costs 8-16K to buy depending what model. Big save on money for the car built specifically for war.

Vicki allegedly did the quarter in this car in 10.2 (trap speed was just under 140mph). The lack of 4 wheel drive + traction obviously limit its acceleration to 60mph but above a 100mph, it's as quick as a Veyron. Having said all that, nearly 200bhp per litre and a huge supercharger is not conducive to reliability long term and this car will likely need careful maintenance/full engine rebuilds every few years.

@IIIIBENIIII lets see.. 1000 hp it is NOT all wheel drive like a veyron, and can only accomodate tires up to a certain size - as it originally has around 300 or so hp. Now all that being said, look beyond the 0-60 times and i am sure there are numbers sure to impress. like 60-160 or 60-200 etc etc.

You'd be surprised. Straight sixes are naturally torquey engines, and turbocharging is great for torque anyway. You are looking at 8-900lb ft from a decently tuned 2JZ. I disagree with your maths aswell, 2JZs don't actually require huge boosts to make power, and with twin turbo's, are very smooth on delivery. Plus, the 2JZ is as near indestructible as you're likely to see, and they sound absolutely gorgeous.

ok, this car will have no limited slip differential, leafspring suspension and a live axle, so when you try and go round a corner it just spins all 1000hp up on the inside rear wheel. so your tyre bill is going to be as big as your fuel bill. MASSIVE

Why the hell would it? Most 6th gears in cars are specifically for cruising at highway speeds. The Corvette's transmission a shining example. 6th gear is so tall the car's top speed is reached in 5th gear. 6th gear is the fuel economy gear for highway driving. The gearbox is made for that.

There are plenty of videos of guys driving these UBB Mustangs like complete Lunatics on the street, especially some guys in Croatia (I think?) and incase you didn't watch the video, the power is limited in the first few gears as a traction control system. Why do people always say Mustangs can't go around corners? I think what they mean to say is "I don't have the balls to drive this thing around a corner". Stangs have been road racing since the 60's.
