One game I would love to make would be a final sequel to this RTS series. Dune V. You’d command the great houses as they fight to control Arrakis, and stabilize the imperium that’s descended into anarchy. You’d play as the noble Atreides, the vile Harkonnens… but replacing House Ordos would be a resurgent House Corrino. The explanation would be that the Corrinos launched an attack on the Ordos world in revenge for their role in murdering Emperor Frederick Corrino, while the great houses united to combat the Guild’s Emperor Worm. The Atreides would be the balanced faction, the Harkonnens would be the subversive faction, and the Corrinos would be the powerhouse (since they reclaimed the services of the Imperial Sardaukar). The sub factions would be the Fremen (with their warriors and Fedaykin) the Ixians (with their projector tanks and mega cannons), the Bene Tlielax (with their Face Dancer infiltrators and Ghola facilities), the Smugglers guild (with their advanced harvesters and heavy carryalls), and the remnants of House Ordos (with the saboteurs and deviators).

Back then when the first time I saw this game was played in 1998-1999. Imagine that time how amazing this video game and the in-game soundtrack which really immersive like you are in actual war. Both gameplay and soundtrack haunts you in the way you are in serious situation that you cant take your eyes off. And after a day is over, you are looking forward to see the game for the next day. Not to mention it was not easy for kids to beat the game back then? It is monumental amount of save game and failure even pass one mission. The worm? Ah. The anomaly I hate the most after the chrono quake in C&C Red Alert 95.

@Zalmari Nope the power armors idea is from the Robert Heinlein book Starship Troopers (the book, not the 90´s bad adaptation movie), but it is remarkable to say that the 40K look and design (which is also based in Heinlein´s book), is the one which has influenced most of modern pop-culture. PS: As an anecdotic info, in the original dune books the soldiers never used power armors, or tanks, they favored melee or dart weaponry(sometimes poisoned), because the in-universe usage of energy shields.

the fact that they include the Ordos in game doesn't make it similar to the movie, besides in the movie the Fremen are so powerful alone that they can destroy the Harkonnen easily while in game they are mere weak infantry that can be crushed by one tank lol
