Ben Courson is a bestselling author, a TV and radio personality, an international speaker, founder of Hope Generation, and the senior pastor at Applegate Christian Fellowship. Stemming from his own bout with suicide and depression, Ben Courson created Hope Generation to help those struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts and those who’ve lost hope and meaning amid their success. The ministry is shouting about the God of Hope from the mountaintops to help people rise out of despair.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul...”
- Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)

WoW!! I could listen to you all day long Ben, You are such a blessing and a joy to listen to. You change my whole perspective; such high energy and a godly Brainiac!" Your analogies are really mind-blowing! When I lived in LA in 69, I accepted Christ on the Blvd., but I had no teacher when I came back to Florida, and floundered for years. Then I found Calvary Chapel Ftl., and began to really grow in my walk... Thank you Jesus !

WOW!! I know this message is 3 years old but so so powerful still... you'll have that with the truth of the King!! I have always been so incredibly unaccepting of labels, I know why in my heart and soul but have never been able to truly put the reason in words... your words perfectly explained my beleifs and this was a huge confirmation of God's voice. I really appreciated and my soul was touched by the reminder that not all struggles are the result of sin but all struggles are an opportunity to glorify God, to love thy neighbor as thyself and to leave all judgement to God! Ben you are such an incredible energy and voice, you bring truth, hope and love in a way that touches hearts of such a wide range of humans, many of which I beleive wouldnt be reached otherwise. Continue being unapologetically you 💕

I speak a p.o. dunk language my friend. It astounds me how I have been lost for words yet I say words that explain only feelings yet means a pluthera of things. My language develipes in the daily, but I have just felt Jesus work through the pegan type of language that I speak with the people around me. I just feel it so much about how Jesus used pegan tactics to get to the hearts of the people. Get it Ben. By the way be prepair3d for some major off setting ocd grammar and spelling. I was home schooled :)

Thanks for this message. I've been struggling with depression since being diagnosed late May, but I don't use it as an excuse or as a means of pity. No idea how God will use this, but a lot has changed in me for the better. Hold on, folks. Ain't seen nothing yet.

Ben, I connect with you. I've suffered with depression since I was 14. I'll be 37 in January. And am currently in a depression. You have helped me to see things in a new light. And remained me that, God is still on the throne.

Ben, this one came up and I had to listen again... I missed the rosemary part the first time, that is so funny you crack me up! You're so cute! Actually they are called rosary beads and I'm glad I used them now when I was younger and even once as a grown up, after a bad break up!! (Prayer and exercise!) Peace out Bro.

First, I appreciate you so much! Second in psychology, we recognize that many immeasurable things are hypothesized constructs...which is why rigorous psychometric tests either validate the replicable validity of measurable, observable behaviors, traits and brain activity or they disprove the hypothesized construct. Psychometric tests need to prove face validity, that what's supposedly being measured is actually what's being measured, convergent validity which shows that what is supposedly related actually is (i.e. caffeine intake and poor sleep for example), discriminant validity that what isnt related isnt related and after those tests have proofs validating that the test itself isnt a crock of nonsense, then there is some criterion of validity met for operationalization of those constructs to begin! And the real measures begin with concurrent validity: does the operationalized construct which is being measured by valid test correlate with previous results ? Predictive validity, did the previous hypothesized test predict in real life performance and reliability is also important as well as stability across time: the measure of the construct which will yield proofs should have the same result when applied to the same person have test-retest reliability. Internal consistency is multiple versions of the same test should have similar results and sometimes groups are split in half to test this. Inter rater reliability is basically testimony: that tests with human judges all provide similar ratings. Using the validity and reliability criterion to measure if an unseen element is real actually applies well to many Christian concepts because though we do not see the wind we see its effects and can measure how far the branches swayed how many leaves fell how many seeds scattered. Validation helps people know they're not "imagining it". This day and age we cant just call all mental health symptoms demonic attacks or the wages of sin although, let's be real, that is sometimes the case. This is why the 'subconscious', the unseen vulnerable line between tempted flesh and willing spirit is so crucial in deciding which way a person goes. Psyche means soul and Psychology is as close to understanding flesh vs spirit as the secular world will get.

“ Rosemary”.. 😂 that’s my aunts name. Thank you so much for this encouragement about repeating prayer. Yes, I will take your advice on training your brain to say myself “ good times” ... this is so informative that we can do this through our difficult times to remind us God is in control. Thank you again my brother Ben! Love in Christ Jesus!♥️🙏🏻😇🙋🏼‍♀️
