My opinion: Everyone was wrong. The ship staff for not taking action first. The people for playing loud music in a public place. The woman who retaliated in such an over-the-top manner. These were not adults on a cruise ship, they were children in a daycare. And throwing like electronic equipment into the ocean deliberatly? Banned from cruising permanently. Don't forget, they had the option to LEAVE the pool deck before the incident but noooo, they were having an incident for dessert.

Several crew members just walked on by and never said a word. I finally walked over and asked them to turn it down only to be met with “hey I paid for this cruise so I can play music if I want” my reply was swift with, “I paid for this cruise too, in fact everyone here also paid for this cruise, your not special turn it off” finally my fellow cruise mates started to chime in with “yeah turn it off” thankfully I had emboldened the crew and they came and told them to turn it off or leave. I could have gone to guest services but we all know they wouldn’t have done anything and that jerk would be blasting his music all over time ship.

What in the world has happened to people being able to speak to one another civilly and resolve a situation? I would have gone up to the couple with my best smile and asked them if they would mind turning it down a bit. No argument, no confrontational attitude. If they started an attitude or were rude, etc., I would have quietly gone away and then spoken to a crew member. I always try to politely resolve issues myself first. Most people are reasonable and are so absorbed in having a good time that they don't even realize how disruptive they are being to others.

I very nicely asked him to turn it down and using the same word told me where I could go which I then apologized and went and sat down. A man did go get security but they said nothing just walked by however what was the most important was a few minutes later the young man came to me and apologized and asked if he could give me a hug which meant more to me than he will ever know. I would never touch something of someone else's and then woman was completely in the wrong

The surprising thing here is that someone didn't follow the speaker ! Love the laughter Don I'm with you . However getting back to being serious, there really is no reason why any member of staff can not ask them to turn it off, surely each crew member has to look out for the guests and if someone is breaking rules or being obnoxious then have a little word with them. If they then get told to go forth, that is the time to escalate matters.

I feel like this: all of us agree to the cruise contract. Once we are on board, one warning let's us know for sure whatever we do, is wrong just in case we missed it. The second time on board, I feel like the cruise line should have the authority to fine or in extreme safety circumstances, those people who break these rules could be jailed. And if this happens to be children then the parents are in charge of said children, their actions and reactions. This is the only way to control these situations. As fas as the speaker, this person should have been fined and have to replace said item at cost. I fully support the cruise lines, their rules, regulations and policies. I want to be able to cruise. If those rules help me cruise, I will follow them. Others should too. Stay safe out there!!

Exactly, what's the point of making rules if they don't enforce them?? Music is played in every nook and cranny of the ship from early morning to late, late night. Some artists don’t hit the stage until 1:00am. Other parties don’t even start until 2-3:00 am. It’s a whole different vibe from the regular cruises.
