I'm not sure if anyone notices that but I'm almost certain that's the Ryon Healy on the Seattle Mariners. He's got the Tacoma Hat on and everything and he would have been in AAA at the time so this all match's up.

The thumbnail and the title made me think the fighter jet attached itself to the airliner door and the jet pilot just casually walks in.

I worked at as a gate agent at Dulles Airport and as a gate agent we are the last line of defense for that flight and for all the pilots and the flight attendants and if I felt the passenger what's going to be a problem in the air then I would not let that person board the aircraft because you see as a gate agent you're responsible for that flight until it gets pushed back so while my son was defending this country in the Iraqi War I was doing my part for my country and that's how I looked at it and trust me quite a few people did not fly and some of my aircrafts that I boarded people on and the pilots all thanked me

And the escort only means that they will blow the plane up in case of an attempted take over... That doesn't add any comfort...

Several years ago I was on a flight from Dallas to Lima, Peru. I had exit row seat. The guy sitting across the aisle in the other aisle seat was acting very strangely. The flight attendant came by and asked if she could talk to me. So I obliged. She told me (and made no bones about it) that if that guy gets out of hand on this exit row to do what I had to do to hold him down and she’d bring others to the rescue. Told her no problem. In addition she had a “little talk” with this guy. It worked. He kept his hind end in his seat and never moved again.

I laughed so hard, "really appreciate the help" lmao. F-16 pilots during 9/11, some didn't even have time to get armed and had orders to kamikaze the terrorist hijacked planes if necessary. If I saw them I would be shitting bricks.

The reason they descended so quickly is because they thought he had a bomb. They were trying to get low to breathable oxygen just incase there was a breach in the cabin.

I'm in no way defending this guy and it's been 3 years almost since this happened. But what if the dude was having a health issue like a mini stroke or something and didn't know what he was doing? What ever happened? Anyone ever hear what he was doing at the cockpit door?
@nataliestowers-n8b2 жыл бұрын
a mini stroke wouldnt cause you to act the way he did. as well as regardless of if mental health issues are going on he needs to be taken into custody for the safety of everyone else. this is coming from a psychologist

I don't know why the airline pilot was thanking the fighter pilot for their escort; because they were there to shoot the plane down if it deviated from instructions due to a highjacking. PS: I just noticed everyone else was thinking the same.

Stop serving any & all alcohol on planes/flights. That would solve alot of problems.

F16's going to help? Yeah I highly doubt that.
@lavie15426 жыл бұрын
The F16s are there to do two things. 1. Attempt to scare the attacker into compliance 2. Outright destroy the plane if it is a threat to lives on the ground. 2 sounds scary but think about it this way: Would you have rather shot down the planes that would have caused 9/11 and killed only a few hundred, or go with 9/11 anyways and have thousands die? A lot of people die either way, but it really boils down to numbers.
@deltaboy7676 жыл бұрын
@@lavie1542 I'd rather have no life's killed, every life is precious, all the women and children on that plane, I mean how would you feel if you were the fighter pilot order to destroy the airliner knowing that there are women and children on there, your cosience would haunt you forever. I could never be in that situation.

2 f15 + late plane + FBI... etc. I think half a million minimum ! Taxes are used for that unfortunately. Stay in prison or get out once you paid the bill. ...
@aggferret53645 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t cost much to the government to get two Fighter jets to go shoot down a plane it’s literally their job so no it’ll he shouldn’t have to pay just like how every single other person has never had to or will have to pay someone for doing their job. Also not to mention the government will always have money. It’s the FBI’s literal job to make sure people are safe not make sure people are safe and demand to get paid that’s why it’s a job they get paid by their boss.

I’m so confused why is the Air Force involved
@shadowmatrix01013 жыл бұрын
Standard Homeland Security/ATC protoccol. If there's a possible terrorist threat the Air Force automatically sends up planes to check it out. It's something they've been doing even pre-9/11, which was the whole controversy for the 9/11 attacks as to why there were no fighters scrambled to intercept the planes.

“Escort” they were fully ready to blow that plane out of the sky
