In the game's lore, weapons manufacturers are indipendent corporations not related to nations and everyone buys from them. That's why you get to see a Kirov and an Aegis in the same fleet, or a Felon and a Raptor in the same faction.

I'm not sure that's true, planes and ships just come from either _somewhere_ or Belka (in which case they did nothing wrong). I like to think maybe there's just wild battleships roaming the ocean like pods of whales and they tame them and run up a flag on the mast when they're docile enough to accept a crew.

Ace Combat 2's main character Scarface used SU-35 but got retconned to F-22, in both the old and the remake he switches to XFA-27. In Joint Assault, Antares 2 is depicted using a SU-37 in the game's wallpaper, and Antares 1 flies away in a SU-37 in the game's last cutscene before credits. In Ace Combat 7, Count uses a SU-33 while being in the Spare squadron. There should be other but I don't really remember

Ace Combat uses a weird/cool mixed order of battle where platforms from different nations/factions end up together. And it’s not just the planes. For example, in Ace Combat 6 your side’s naval flagship is a Kirov class (hilariously named the Marigold) but your carriers are Nimitz class.

I think the consensus is that the country of Emmeria is the in-universe analog of Italy. Its featured in Ace Combat 6, which IMO has the best large-scale combined arms missions.

Also just letting you know 2 things, 1: there are 3 DLC missions between mission 13 and mission 14, and 2: this is a fictional universe where every nation has every type of equipment (so for example every nation can use the Mig 29, the Mig 21, the su27, the F14, the f15, the f16, the f18 and so on).

Since you were confused about this: osea (our country) = good guys and erusea ( enemy country) = russia... kind of, because there's also estovakia but i won't open THAT can of worms. This mission is fun with the Nosferatu. It's an older plane from i believe AC 5 which has made it a DLC. It being able to lock and shoot at 12 targets land air or sea. There is nothing that beats it. There are some that give 4-6 like a tomcat can shoot 4 but none but that plane goes above 6 lock on and kills.

I preferred AC4 despite it being long in the tooth. Still play it once or twice a year. I forget the mission name, but really like the one where you have to take out a solar power plant and then run for the cover of a series of winding canyons to avoid fire from the Stonehenge defence system. Staying below the canyon rim at Mach 1 was..... interesting!

Italy is probably Ustio, Germany is Belka, America is Osea, Britain or Australia is Emmeria (more likely to be the former), Spain is Sapin, Erusea (the main antagonist) is France, I'm not sure about Russia since there is at least 2 Slavic countries present in the game including Yuktobania and Estovakia. As for the planes, don't mind them as America in this game itself operate both F-22 and Su-57 and same go for Russia. The planes in this game is like AKM and its copies which you can count the country that don't have it by fingers.

Ace Combat makes lots of real world likenesses with their countries. Belka is their version of Germany more or less. Gebet could be Poland with the whole Belkan takeover thing. You can guess what Sapin is based off of. Estovakia and Yuktobania are both pretty Russian. Osea has to be the US since they're I think the most powerful giant ass superpower in the world. And they love bullying the smaller countries. Gonna have to side on Italy not being canon in itself. Half the AC world isn't fleshed out so we could see it crop up somewhere eventually.

First time this mission was played by most, myself included felt like Independence Day the ID4 movie where a squadron of alien fighter ships go to El Toro Air Base and annihilate it. Granted my comments aren't that interesting but if you're interested there's one title in the Ace Combat series called "Assault Horizon" which takes place in the real world and the characters you play can speak not to mention you can see what they look like
