Ohara Davies, Courage Tshabalala, Lucian Bute, and Duane Bobick. It's like a test question where they ask you what name doesn't belong. Bute losing to Froch was one of endless 3-1 favorites losing. It would seem to fall short of a hype job meeting reality, given Bute's body of work. And the win meant enough to Carl that it propelled him to a series of huge-paying fights. And rightfully so. It was a huge win, maybe the best moment of his career. The best moment of a Hall of Famer's career doesn't come against hype-jobs.

This whole vid was a real stretch, and ending it by equating Duane Bobick to Gerry Cooney was the absurd cherry on top of a very dubious sundae. He lumped in a whole list of guys only the most extreme boxing fans would've even heard of, with a 5-year undefeated world champ, and called them all hype jobs as if they were one in the same. Then he closed with a guy whose name no one has uttered in 40 years, only to equate him with THE MOST famous name in the entire video. Really, truly, an embarrassing video for a guy who usually puts out good content.

@@ba10mob69 It's a completely legit observation. You have 3 textbook definitions of hypejobs, then a millionaire who was champ for years. It took a really good super middleweight in Froch to beat him. It's a great win for Froch because of how highly thought of Bute was. You didn't bet on Froch and you can't go back in time and impose what you think now on what was back then. No one has to prove him to be perfect or without faults to say he should stand far above the other three men on this list, which is what this gentleman said. You have 2000 super middleweights. A guy gets to the top 3-4 and you're talking about B-class lol. Guy was in the top .005 of his profession and that's not A-class. You got a funny way of looking at this sport dude.
@shakes.dontknowwhatyergettin3 жыл бұрын
In fairness, he does observe at the start of the video that the actual level of the guys being defined as "hypejob" varies considerably, the important thing being the relative merit of a fighter when compared to the hype surrounding him.
