Fun fact: There is a slight different version of Magnamon. Some design having 3-fingers hand mostly from other media design. While 5-fingers hand is likely exclusive from Digimon Adventure 02 anime. You must be forgot to mention it but Magnamon is one of Royal Knights members. 3-fingers hand Magnamon is likely a Royal Knights version design.

i think this screams for a custom repaint... the gold chromeplating then clear yellow on top... and the grey in gunmetal would be an amazing finish

If I remember correctly Magnamon is more of an air poser than a ground poser so it makes sense that the general articulation is not the best because I only remember seeing Magnamon fight in the air and simply stand on the ground.

Considering the jerky animation of *Digimon 02* by Toei back then, Bandai is not lying when they say that this Magnamon kit is good enough to recreate his poses in the anime.

Lucky if it even jerks. It's so stiff. Adventure and 02 have limited animation especially in comparison to its predecessor, the Digimon OVA.

The articulation problems seem weird. Now, the arms? I get that. The big blocky armor gets in the way. You can't solve that while staying completely true to the original design. But the legs? The knees are completely free from the armor until that point, and it is purely a problem with the knee joint itself. Also, I can't really forgive the ankles. The shin armor build like a squared off zaku leg, and we KNOW that bandai has had that zaku problem solved for decades. Even if you wanted to keep the ankle circles, that still leaves room inside the foot to play around with.

Like you mention at the end, I think there are better kits out there at the price point. I feel like this is a pretty common problem with the digimon kits, except for maybe War Greymon and Metal Garurumon.

I am having epik nostalgia I used to play digimon and then when they released the 02 digimon I always wanted an imperialdramon but I ended up getting magnamon. I just got cyber sleuth (complete edition) and got an imperialdramon and a veemon I just need to figure out how to get the miracle egg

For me the only mistake Bandai did with this model was putting Magnamon with 5 fingers instead of 3 which is the correct way,since in all of it's official Artwork it always shows with 3 Fingers,that's the second time i see this mistake happening,first was in the 02 anime,during its debut,it was also showing with 5 fingers,even tho its official art contradicts what was showing in the anime,they even corrects this when Magnamon appeared in the last season of Xros Wars,but they did it again,why Bandai,why not you kept the canon-accuracy of the character

Even thought Magnamon digivolved from Veemon, the Exveemon line never truely had it's own digivolution line, which is kinda sad. There's also a fan made blue Magnamon, which was used as a real or alternate digivolution line for ExVeemon.

Yeah cuzz all of Veemon's know evolution are from Armor or Jogress evolution. The only truly individual evo that he has for it's own is XVmon

Actually Digimon never have a fixed evolution line. The anime made you think that. For example Agumon can evolve to Tyranomon. Gabumon can evolve to Gaomon. The Veemon can evolve to Veedramon, later to AeroVeedramon and the mega level Ulforceveedramon
