I'm not a figure skater but I dance and one time I was tapping and all the sudden my feet slipped out from under me and I fell into an 170 degree split in front of the class and everybody stopped and was like 😳 and I was like 😅 my hips didn't feel the same for a few months after that

It is all apart of skating: spraining your wrists, getting concussions, having this one skater get in your way for an entire session, and having people just being plain toxic. Some of it can be funny, but a lot of it can cause someone to be seriously hurt; if you ever go to a public session, people don’t watch where they’re going, and it can lead to an ambulance being called

At my rink when it’s your birthday, they have you take off your skates in the middle of the ice while people are showering you on ice, and they have you either walk back bare-foot or some people help carry you! I haven’t done it before, but I hope to do it eventually

Isn’t the first guy taking the chocolate milk incident a little too lightly? He could have shown his milk to the staff and ask them to smell it and then say that “Nick” had the same-smelling deodorant. Wouldn’t that have sufficed? Otherwise, if he put a bunch of the spray in there, wouldn’t that count as poisoning a drink? Because last I checked, AXE isn’t safe to drink.

I was my star ice skater on my competition team and there was a new girl who was very cocky when there were try outs she took my skates (which were like 500 dollars)right before my try out and 5mins later I was going to get my skates on and they were not any where she was before me so she left near the stage (I’m freaking out because I’m next ) then out of the corner of my eye I see them my skates and I put them the quickest I have ever did then I got them on and in the middle of her performance she saw me with my skates and she fell in the middle of her leap into me off the stage she went back on and you could tell the anger she had after she went on I did and I ended up getting on the best team and the management found what she did and she got Kicked out of the tryouts

My worst moment was right before my rinks winter ice show. I was rushing to get on the ice so I could go through my solo before my soloist group number rehearsal and I forgot to take off my guards before I got on the ice ( guards are super slippery if you forget to take them off so you basically fall immediately if you don’t take them off) and fell straight on my knees while I was wearing tights and I scraped my knees and bled completely through my only pair of tights so I started crying and I had to completely redo my makeup in the 20 minutes before the show started

Good thing you aren't a gymnast, you can't wear underwear in competitions or practice unless you want to be embarrassed, one time I was in a competition and the uniform was getting small for me and it gave me a girl wedgie and I'm not sure if they saw or not but you might've been able to see that it hurt! after that my team saw that I was embarrassed and comforted me, EXCEPT THIS LITTLE ***** STARTED LAUGHING AT ME AND SAID THANKS FOR BEING STUPID SO I CAN WIN! hahahah I actually won that event (floor) and she didn't even get win a place in that event. but i quit gymnastics, i started to lose interest especially because I didn't want to do it and kinda got lazy. Please don't judge me for this.

My worst happened when my ice partner and I were warming up before a competition. He landed too close to me and his blade went right into my knee. Fractured my kneecap and tore a part of my meniscus .. I wasn’t able to skate after that competitively so I taught skating to young kids instead

For those who don’t know, walking ANYWHERE besides blade safe floor is bad for skate blades. Walking on stone or gravel with your skates is basically a death sentence for your blades. 💀

Best fall for me was mid skate at a state comp. I was doing a step sequence that I could do with my eyes closed, super easy, and at the of it I do a kind of cha cha step then hold just a simple upright position on one foot, and I think my boot must of been loose or something cause my ankle just gave way and I fell straight onto my knee and then somehow trip myself and fall to the side while trying to get myself up. My favourite skate and fall to date by far, didn’t fall on anything else just fell standing on one foot while not moving 😂

I’m not a figure skater but last time I went Ice skating at the local rink for FREE SKATE. I was doing okay (I have very bad balance) I was skating around and I fell on my back and hit my head on the ice…HARD. The guy working at the rink on the ice had to literally carry me off and check to make sure that I didn’t have a concussion. And my stepdad came to pick me and my sisters up and the lady at the desk in front told him he can’t go to the rink (my sister had called him and told him i fell and was carried off the ice) and my stepdad no joke says really? WATCH ME. And walked back to the rink and made sure I was ok and took us home where I had ice on my head and went to the doctor the next day with a mild concussion..so Ice Skating NOT my sport

Worst fall was learning how to do a back spin (I spin on both sides, I know, it’s crazy and unnatural and I’m probably satanic), and I fell on my arm and couldn’t use it for a week. Doesn’t sound too bad, but I’m a musician, so it really sucked. Freaking Michelle kwan would skate our practices with us for a month or two every summer and I was always so embarrassed that she would judge me so I skated soooo timidly when she was there
