So good to see a current educational video about skating. Especially the lutz. That was my favorite triple to do. And it’s insane to see how many incorrectly executed lutz or “flutz” are happening in major competitions. My coach would’ve clocked me upside the head if I even looked at the boards before setting up and completing another correctly lol

I tried the cross pull inner outer change of edge set up and it worked a lot better. I'm now getting a cleaner take off and maintaining speed better after the jump. Anyone having problems with the old school long set up might want to try this. It looks harder, but in a way it is easier because of the rhythm.

Hi there. Thank you for these videos. Just came across you videos and wow is all I can say. I was a skater when I was much younger and can't believe the information that I was lacking in my jumps. Don't know if my coach didn't realize this stuff or just failed to tell me. Started to do doubles at the end my skating time and wish I had this info back then. Great information for adult skaters and new skaters to start good skating career no matter what level they get to. Thank you again and please keep posting videos.

I would love to see the same thing, except in the clockwise direction!

I found this really useful! I started simple jumps about a month ago, I've been skating around 16mths now :) Could you possibly do a video like this about axels? I'm struggling on those at the moment :/

I've always had issues with wrapping my free leg on my double lutz and double flip jump. Hopefully these tips help with that!

Thanks. I was wondering why I felt like I was going to fall if I did a Lutz.

With the flick and the strong outside edge on the lutz it seems hard to maintain speed on this jump. I wonder what the solution is for this problem. maintaining speed is a lot easier on the flip.
