Forgot to mention, it sounds better than quedlix5k and es100mk2. It’s the least intuitive to setup (es100mk2 is the most intuitive). You need to download the Fiio Control app to update the firmware, and to set the codec to LDAC (for android) or AAC (for iPhones). I later found out that the ‘boost balanced output’ feature is also on the fiio control app, which significantly increases the power level of the 4.4mm output.

I have the IFI DIABLO and am considering getting this to use with my Sennheiser IE 900. Do you think I should just get the IFI IEMATCH 4.4 MM and use it with DIABLO and not get the Fios btr7?Feedback appreciated

I tried fiio E10K-type C. First, DaC. ROI is quite low on the audiophile equipment I must say.

IMO, this is not “audiophile” level gear. This is just beyond consumer grade.

I just ordered the BTR7, hoping to get it tomorrow. But what exactly do the filters do? Im new to AMP DAC things. Im looking to get audio like the creator intended it. Sure i might use EQ maybe to finetune a bit, because every headphone is build different, but beside that i want the sound like it was intended

You are using marketing words that audiophile companies use to sell their products. The fact is, no one knows what the artist actually intended, but we do know for sure that almost no artist intended their music to be played back on btr7 to recreate the initial experience. I’m in the middle of filming a follow-up video…. But which headphones are you using, I might have a better suggestion for both the headphone and the dac/amp?

@@nyvoreviews5443 im using Audeze Penrose, its a 'Gaming' headset. It ain't top notch at all, but for my usage and budget it works amazing. 2.4Ghz audio is better as Bluetooth tho, thats why i started looking for a way to upgrade it. Its mainly used with a 2.4Ghz dongle, but that doesn't work on phone with OTG adaptor. also don't want anything physical connected to my phone when in walking around, at home i probably connect it with USB C. But i also use it currently with Bluetooth from my Galaxy Z Fold 3. I ordered the Fiio BTR7, although i might be able to return it. But from reviews it looks like a good device, and also is usable as a USB DAC-AMP, so plenty of use cases in the future. Edit after 3 minutes: Also i might mean how the Mixer / Master ment how it should sound. But as a clearer example, if you hit the drums, and i had a way to perfectly record it, how could i listen to it as close as possible with my gear.

@@jordykroeze 2.4Ghz vs Bluetooth is a much smaller difference than the limitation of amps inside your headset. Amps make a much bigger difference in sound quality. You likely won’t get any improvement from btr7.

The btr5 used to have a bug where you couldn't use EQ with ldac. Is this bug fixed with the btr7?

Well I use 2.5mm balanced and 3.5 So I just do not understand why Fiio Would Not Include A 2.5mm Balanced Connection On The BTR7 . There's only 1 device I have that I Could Even Use 4.4 And That's My LetShouer S12s Which I Currently Use With A Detachable 2.5mm Balanced . Why Can't We Have 2.5 4.4 and 3.5 on The Same Device ?

I just use a 2.5 to 4.4 adapter that came with a Tripowin iem. But yeah. Most of my stuff is 2.5 as well.
