this might seem like a stupid question but some of the comments on amazon have got me worried, if I am putting my music on my sd card to be read by the player can I simply drag and drop to the sd card on a Mac? theres comments about some android transfer program but im assuming this is for things you want to put on the internal memory and im assuming I can just load my sd card as normal and the machine will read it?? or do I have to use a specific program to put music on the sd card for this player??

The "android program" only needed if you use the player as an SD card reader. Basically you need to install a driver but thats it. Otherwise you just simply remove the SD card and copy anything via a generic card reader without any program.

Hi, very nice review. However i still have a question: i use multi balanced armature headphones which are very sensitive for baground noise. Did you recogniced any sough by using the player?

None if we are talking wired connection. With wireless I had some noise but thats because of the receiver, not the source itself.

I'm trying to make this unit work with a bluetooth 5.0 receiver. The receiver uses the SBC codec, I set the FiiO to that. It has paired with the receiver but says (no media). At this point I've not been able to get music to play. Does no media mean no music?

Does the blutooth feature connect to a car dashboard? Can I use my car lcd dashboard to change songs, volume, etc or is it just a simple connection?

I'm curious your thoughts on something. Is the m7 is worth a buy over the m3k if someone's music library is mostly lossless 44hz and 16 bits or 24 bit. Also no real plans to use blue tooth unless the devices can be controlled by Bluetooth on a cell phone. What I mean is if I have the fiio connect to my stereo receiver could I start/stop/skip tracks remotely from my phone?

If you plan to use it with a decent amount of music collection I would pick the M7. Faster navigation and faster playback/loading time. Not that the M3K is a bad player, but I think it is for more like a casual music listener, or just need a good compact player. As for the Bluetooth, so what you are telling, you control the receiver from your phone, where the receiver controls the M7. Am I right? The phone should list all the songs you have on the FiiO M7? I think Android-DAP controls are not available with FiiO. iBasso and Hiby link have this kind of feature.

Can you use this as a USB Audio Out DAC plugged into a computer and Bluetooth the audio to a pair of headphones? Essentially making it a Bluetooth transmitter for my computer. The M9 has that ability and I thought I read there was a firmware 1.04 update for the M7. Thank you

Sorry for the late reply, working on many reviews at the moment. :D Yes, just updated to 1.04 to test it out for you. You can use it like that. PC-(USB)-M7-(BT)-HEADSET. Also, the volume controls are still working so basically it works as a wireless BT DAC station. :)

Thank you so much. The battery life depends on many factors, but at moderate volume with a small IEM is around 20-22hours playback time. If you use Bluetooth it is around 25 hours. Has very similar results as the good old iPod Classic. If you use id daily for like 3-4 hours you get a solid 1-2weeks without charging it.

I am still trying to find out if you can shuffle all the music when in the external folders on sd card. I can see how to shuffle the file (cd) one at a time but not the whole folders. Anybody done it yet....thanks.

Right then ignore my comment below. I can now shuffle all music in both folders at same time , which is OK. .....Just now can not Shuffle music in each music folder separately. .. don't think this can be done .

Yes. The .lrc lyrics file and the track file should have the same file name be put under the same folder. While in the Now Playing menu, swipe from right to left on the album art display area to enable the lyrics display.

Not as you done previously with Apple (sync), but sure you can manually copy all of those contents into your player without any special hassle. (I just did btw) :)
