FiiO M7 Hi Res Music player (brief walkthrough)

This is an excellent player made even better by a FiiO October 2018 firmware update that adds two nice features, 2 way Bluetooth and USB DAC functionality. With the new Bluetooth features I can stream music to the M7 from another device. It already streamed from the M7 to Bluetooth speakers. The DAC function allows the M7 to connect to a PC by a USB cable to function as an external sound card. Before the firmware update it could only function as an external drive. By the way, I use MusicBee software to sync the M7 with my music library. These two work together very nicely.

And enjoyed that for a year. Then you sold me on unique melody ME.1. So I purchased those through you. At first I was confused on why you liked them. First go to Google market and install the sony app for the headphones, because with the app you can calibrate the headphones to your internal ear! And they also adjust the atmospheric pression! Believe me will make all the difference ok!

I don't have this one (thinking in buying it), but i don't recommend the nw-a45 . I come from an old Cowon j3, but the UI in the Nw-a45 is dog slow compared to the cowon, usb dac function has 1-2s delay (i think all hifi players suffer from this) and the screen is bad.

The M7 is really FiiO's aim at the wireless crowd which is not audiophiles who like wires and lossless stuff all the way. Fiio was a budget audiophile company now expanding to the masses it seems. I know LDAC is great but i still like wired. I'm still old skool :)

Most important is the UI and smoothness. For me if it sounds good but cumbersome or laggy to use then I'm looking elsewhere. At this price I don't think it beats the X5iii for sound?

I bought a Fiio M7..Read my comments to Fiio head office.. Hi, Received item Fiio M7, however there is a waving signal on all FM programs, it is not locking in on the channels. I am surprised that such an expensive device cannot pick up channels clearly and stay locked onto them. The earphones I use are Sony...My Cowons player has no issues at all and will play stations clearly and anywhere...all my other devices pick up stations with no issues with my Sony earphones.....I bought your as I bought a Sony N45 player, however that had an auto set scan fault, and so I sent it back. This is so disappointing as the sound is good....I have bought two 5 driver earphones and thus I will see what happens with the signal on your player......I do not understand the boast of an FM chip that is poor...

I really love the sound and U.I of the DX150. battery and lag could be optimized but I really like it a lot
