I might find it hard to get EA500 or JD7 but what I can tell you is, get the Tripowin Rhombus. It's very good, dynamically superior to the Olina SE and sounds full and musical.

Awesome video, I am looking at the fh9 or waiting for moondrop to release the blessing 3 Dusk version. Which would be the better option? I am just getting into hifi. I do have an m15 DAC.

No, don't go for FH9. That's way too V shaped, tonality isn't great and can be sharp too. You got good cash? Get the Custom Art Hybrid 3 pro. You want bass? Get the Oriveti OH700VB. These will be much better options.

Thank you for the review. I wish I have seen your video before getting the FH9 a few days ago. They are really aggressive and the sound quality is terrible. Now I have to get a another IEM, any recommendations other than FiiO?

Sure, if you want a relaxed signature at the same price Get the Kinera Urd. If you are happy with V shaped signature yet no aggression, Custom Art Hybrid 3 pro is the best IEM, my top recommendation under $800. You can opt for the Shouer EJ07M too, this is a bit leaner in the treble region but more even and less bothering.

I know that's tempting IEM but it's way too smooth and thick. It lacks the required amount of definition and resolution for a $900 IEM. If you want a smooth and thick sounding, doesn't want a lot of details, Ikko OH5 is nearly 90% of what the IE900 is at less than half the price.

2:52 what is the preferred cable? I don't remember reading about it. All I know is that the Titanium version looks gorgeous with the LC-RE (golden) cable. Got the black version for myself though.

I will suggest the Effect Audio Cadmus for FH9. Will make it more balanced.

Great comparison. Thanks! As a FH9 owner, I personally stopped looking at the FH7S after finding it is using pretty much the same drivers than the bigger brother. I may still get a FH7S but would have to be heavily discounted.

The problem with FH9 isn't V shaped signature. It's thin and sharp and lacks as much texture or body. FH7s is much better in this regard. It has much better texture and timber. It's more balanced and much better for vocals.

Hello, could you tell me what sonic differences there are between the Dunu Est112, the Fh7s and the Holocene? All three are for less than €500 in my country but the stores don't want to inform me.

Est112 is the most balanced IEM of this lot. It has a bit of aggression and precise notes. Finishing regions can feel a bit sharp. Not thin like FH9 though. FH7s is the best IEM if you want a warm timber and tonality with fuller notes and bass body. We get excellent stage and high quality texture. Holocene is like est112 but less aggressive and calmer. Very good sonics.

Oh5 is more in line with the fh7s, fh9 is a more detailed and V shaped IEM.

I own both the FH 9 and the OH 5. I find the OH 5 far superior.

@@KENNETHDRUMMER yes. Oh5 for music is awesome. It needs burn in (+45h) and a dongle dac to get full potencial. Dynamics, texture, full note size... For less than 500€ is a steal. For me is better than Thieaudio models.

Yes, FH7s is one of the best tuning from Fiio. Would you consider Effect Audio Axiom with bigger bass body and huge stage at a price similar to FH7s? I am selling the Axiom if you are interested.
