Such a well designed workout. Smoked the legs for the base of the jerk and the bmu smoked the lockout. Caught everyone off guard.

Such a great idea to get your coach/cheerers to count UP your breaks. For someone as competitive as Brent that is bound to motivate you knowing clearly how long you're feeling sorry for yourself. 30 seconds goes by so fast, when you're smoked.

My max jerk is 200lbs. After that workout, I could only hit 170 I was so smoked. And I couldn’t hit 1 muscle up. The C2B was way harder than I anticipated. Don’t beat yourself up. Different wheelhouses for all. Outstanding performance.

It is brilliant how you don't waste anyone's time and they can just click to the part of the video they find most relevant, they get to see the full workout and we know what your score was.

@Hoehihoh3 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. I'm the same height as Brent (or just a little taller) and I was glad not to see handstand push-ups. Really, when you think about it, 21.3 was the only workout that really had movements (mainly the thrusters) that favour shorter guys. Everything else was pretty even, and the burpee box jump overs in 21.2 definitely favour us taller guys.
@jacklee60263 жыл бұрын
@@Hoehihoh not one rower, bike or ski. No wall ball and the box jump over had burpees which favour shorter guys so that’s even spread I guess. You forgot to mention the wall walks which will suit shorter guys as much as a HSPU does. Im not saying everything was for a shorter guy but compared to the past years I’ve seen I think taller were always gonna suffer a little more so than usual. Just my opinion dude. (Coming from someone 183cm)
@SevanStick3 жыл бұрын
@@Hoehihoh you prefered wall walks?
@Hoehihoh3 жыл бұрын
Yes, wall walks in my opinion are much less disadvantageous to taller people than handstand push-ups. The reason being that while we have a larger distance to cover in the walks, we can also take larger steps which means that we can do a wall walk in the same amount of steps (and more or less time) as a short person would. More so than that, it's simply what seems to be the case on the leaderboard; Generally, tall guys did pretty well in 21.1. I get that there was no rowing and no wall balls, and I would have liked to see either of these come up, but in the end, I don't think it mattered. Concerning the burpee box jump overs: As far as I can tell, tall people do better on these, even though they do contain the burpee as well. I have friends that have much faster burpees than me but on the burpee box jump overs I was still able to gain a lot of time on them. I wouldn't say tall people did better at 21.2 than shorter people, but in my opinion, that's mostly due to the cycle time on the snatches.

Brent silly question that you probably won't see, but is your pull up bar using 43" crossmembers? No issues with length? Thinking for my own home gym to get 43" or 70" crossmembers on my rig.
