How to use DVD Shrink 3.2

Before Encoding, you have to Select your backup target on the Backup DVD box. If you have Nero installed in your computer, as you should, change Hard Disk Folder to D: HP DVD Writer 635d. When the Encoding process finishes the DVD should eject. The DVD should be replaced by a DVD+R recordable disc for burning. A Burning box will appear,and the DVD+R recordable disc will eject when the burning process finishes. The Burning box is replaced by a Backup Complete box.

@TheSupagrl when you back it up at the top where it say at the top where it say target device dvd region and stuff like that.....click options and uncheck (run back-up in low priority mode) uncheck that and it should go alot faster

Battling to buy blank dvds, so I have started to back up to hard disc folder. Using a Seagate external hdd. I'm having difficulty finding the movie I backed up, please advise.

It plays in itunes becuase its set as your main player. When you installed it it probably asked you if you wanted to set it as your main player. All you have to do is right click it and open with and select always use this program after you have selected what you want.

hmm, i watched cos i thought i was missing out on something, but i do all the steps teh same. so whats the point in dvd SHRINK, it doesnt shrink, i want to compress, ie make my movies smaller, and cant for the life of me find a good programme. the 2 i used to use are gone, ie xcopy.... i wanna back up a lot of dvds, as in 100s, and i cant do that if im filling my ext harddrive with >4.7gb files. theyre too big, and theres too many... can anyone help me?

i'm legitimately trying to backup family home movies that don't even have all that jazz, it's just one file, and when I click on backup I get "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to write to (location)\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB the parameter is incorrect." ... anyone else seen how to fix this?

Please help me. Whenever i place a disc in it does not encrypt at 100% like in the video. i try ticking off some the menus/subtitles but it only gets me up to like 70 or 80 per cent.can someone help

kazaru927 You can't make it analyse a video at 100% if the DVD is copy protected, DVD's have different copy protection schemes encoded on the video/data stream. You should use DVDFab or AnyDVD if you want to copy a DVD with copy protection. DVD Shrink is very outdated and will not work with most DVD's only a few...

no it's not illegal, you can back-up discs you already own... that's back-ups that you keep in 'your' procession (own personal use). Eg. police do a raid, finds all those files on your computer, and them burnt onto blanks discs.... you then can say 'I have the original copy here, those there are my back-ups'. They can only charge you if they prove you've been selling copies, or loaning them out to everybody as if you were a library.
