FILBE Assault Pack VS FILBE Corpsman Assault Pack

Hey Luke, great video as always. I am jealous of the gear you manage to score. The term "3day assault pack" need to be kept in perspective with the packs intended purpose. It was designed to minimally sustain a Marine for 3 days. Food, water and ammo for 3 days. Maybe a change of underwear and socks. People are misled by the term "3 day".

Good comparison. I do not own either system I'm use to a smaller backpack or shoulder bag trauma kit. But the Corpsman assault pack does present some interesting ideas. Thanks for sharing. atb

Necro commenting but the assault pack can be fitted with the sustainment pouches from the filbe system too so that doesn't have all the pouches. So 2 sustainment pouches and the assault pouch. That's why the zipper is the way it is and only goes part way up the side so you can put the zipper all the way to that side and still access it with the sustainment pouches on it.

Hi Luke, new viewer here. I scored both of these on ebay about a year ago. Did you notice the small zippered pocket on top of the corpsman pack by the grab handle? Small pocket for gloves? Any idea what it's specifically meant for? Thanks, Dave

Thanks for the comparison. Have you seen the packs sold at walmart made by sog? The Barrage and Ninga packs look good, and have a good price.

Do the pouches in the corpsman pack have velcro on them to attach to the pack? I'd have liked to seen what all of those pouches were.

But the assault pack has more cubic inches of space than a corpsman. It is 4 pals loops webbing deep vs 3 pals.
