TheOutdoorGearReview I have several. I had the ILBE loadout-including the assault pack. I also have a corpsman bag that looks similar to yours. It's in coyote. I bought the FILBE on my own later. My corpsman pack looks like the Condor Medic Bag. I bought it on my own because I didn't like the military issued pack. When I wear it, I can't really wear anything else (packs). I would leave that pack in the vehicle. And you are right. It's pronounced core-man. the p is silent.

I have the original ILBE Corpsman (w/out the dividers, it was the Recon Pack) pack with all of it's dividers as well. Almost 4 years of daily abuse (with the occasional camping trip in between) and so far not one frayed thread. These packs are really bulletproof. Glad to see they updated to FILBE standards. As for price $200 was the going rate for a complete pack 4 years ago (and still is today) I suspect that the FILBE versions will hold their values for quite some time as well.

USMC FILBE - Corpsman Assault Pack looks great but I doubt that I will find a seller who ship to Bulgaria... Have a nice day!

This. As a former Corpsman and Devidoc I can assure you it is pronounced "Core Man/men"... in training, those who said we were Corpse men because of the dead bodies got chewed and screwed.
@lynyrd58317 күн бұрын
You mispronounce “Corpsman.” The p and s is silent it is “Kor-muhn.” Also those “loops” are called “Mille” webbing. Not pronouncing or identifying words correctly is distracting and demonstrate a lack of research.

Great review. Oh, the name is pronounced similar to "Core man" with the "p" being silent. In my Navy days, the rating was Hospital Corpsman, and we called them Doc, or "Coreman". My Marine buddies called them Doc or Medic. Always someone to keep safe. Ex EMC (SW).
@baker29810 жыл бұрын

@keathwarlick890110 жыл бұрын
I know that this horse has been beaten nearly to death, but I though I'd provide a little backdrop for context. Yes, it is pronounced "core-men/man." This is because the official title for the Navy medic rating is Hospital Corpsman, as in a member (man) of the Hospital Corps. Marines do not have our own medical (or dental) military occupational specialties, so Navy "Docs" fill that role for us. No worries, no doubt that no offense was intended. Just a learning opportunity... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hospital_corpsman

Keath Warlick Thanks brother. It's interesting, I thought it was pronounced like you said but I've been told in the past and over the last couple of days that it's 'Corps' as well as 'Core.' I've got Marines saying that it's both ways. Either way I suppose. - Luke

December 1st 2023 this Corpman/Reckon Pack is selling between $300-$500. For civilian use this Pack is USELESS. The ILBE MARPAT 2nd Gen is an all time classic and highly favored for Everyday Carry EDC. Its modular, shorter, robust and has a compact footprint than lets say the ACU,DCU 3 DAY ASSAULT PACK and even the USMC 3DAY FILBE. The MARPAT ILBE beats Camelback and all the ASSAULT Pack in every conceivable way. Its ideal for school, fishing, hiking, cycling, trekking, photography, traveling abroad and a great carry on luggage. Also, the USMC MARPAT is second to none. Cant go wrong with WOODLAND MARPAT. This medical Corpsman pack is a collectors item but not intended for day to day use.
