A look at choosing a file system in Linux, and avoiding the hell of indecision. This is, for the most part, a theoretical look at File Systems used by Linux. The point of the video is to impart some knowledge that will help users new to Linux to research and navigate the choices.

You really put a lot of information into this video. I'm glad you put timestamps in your video for later reference. This is a big topic so I'm guessing it took a while to just decide what to put in and what not to put in. Of course, do what you want on your upcoming videos. I think I would be most interested in a more hands on video about partitioning. Also important is how to clean off a drive after it has been in a RAID Set. I seem to recall having problems clearing off drives that had been in a ZFS array. I had to clear off the first or last block or something before I could reuse the drives. Thanks for the great video.

Thank you for your comment. I have also had issues restoring drives that were used for both LVM and RAID. That is an interestting subject for a video. Thanks for the idea.

Use wipefs -a /dev/sdX to clean your disk or partition.
