So many happy childhood memories of holidays at Filey. I remember it as been such a magical place.

1974 ish aged about 8 or 9 brilliant memories, made friends and had lots of fun,got lost but red coats and mum and dad searched haha got a good telling off when found by mum🥰 shes passed away recently and the happy/funny times flood back, bet a few people think of their time at butlins 🙂🤪😆with different thoughts but hopefully good.

Travelling down in car from Edinburgh with dad driving mum usually in backseat with my sister singing guilty by the pearls and my self in the front asking are we here yet time and time again. Then in the distance the Butlins flags flying and then a great holiday started loved the funfair the gaity theatre at night showing red coat shows cinema.all the amusement arcades taking back my Pennies I got from pocket money the heated swimming pool with windows below. So many great memories that I will treasure. Many thanks for uploading

Best kids holiday ever travelling dwn in my uncle Jimmy's blue transit van 50 miles from the boro took about 3 days but then u wud spot the flags as u approached and u can put over in words how excited u felt fantastic place and way. Ahead of its time

what a great time working at filey 78.79.80.81.82 great staff entertainment voted best and cleanest camp buy the big bosses when they came to see us,,, didn't put their hands in the pockets to buy us a drink though

Anyone happen to know a bloke called Eddie who worked in the kitchens/caterer in 1975, he only had the 1 season there in 1975, i dont know his last name unfortunately, my wife's friend is trying to locate him as its her biological dad, she was 15 months when he left
