In this video, we talk about the behavior of Filipinas who have married foreigners, a controversial subject that has been the focus of debate and discussion in recent years. We examine Filipinas' dark aspects and how relationships with foreigners might cause them to modify their perspectives. We explore factors that may motivate unfavorable conduct, such as the desire for financial gain and distorted views of interpersonal relationships. The fact that not all Filipinas behave badly must be acknowledged, and everyone should be assessed according to their actions. Watch this video for an insightful discussion on a topic that needs to be addressed.

SPEAK FOR YOURSELF!!! YOU'RE SO FULL OF YOURSELF YOU NEED TO GET OFF YOUR FREAKING HIGH HORSE! AS IF YOU'RE SOMEONE PERFECT! PWEH! WHY WILL YOU GENERALIZE YOUR OWN PERSONAL NEGATIVE VIEW OF YOUR OWN FELLOW FILIPINAS? ARE YOU ENVIOUS OF THEM? IN ALL CULTURES AND NATIONALITIES THERE ARE GOOD AND BAD APPLES SO DON'T GENERALIZE AS IF YOU HAVE A STANDARD BASIS OF THESE BULLSHITS YOU'RE BLABBERING ABOUT! OBVIOUSLY YOU'RE JUST ENVIOUS AND JEALOUS OF OTHER FILIPINAS! YOU SOUND LIKE A NARCISSIST AND EGOTISTICAL BUT FOR SURE YOU ALSO SUFFER FROM EXTREME LACK OF SELF-CONFIDENCE. Eh gaga ka pala! Akala mo kung sino kang maganda at matino! Very plain ka lang and so basic, day! Nakasungkit ka lang ng foreigner na asawa feel mo me karapatan ka nang ilaglag mga kapuwa Pinay mo as if very precious ka! Gaga! Sarili mong mga kababayan ibabagsak mo like you have a legitimate research study of what you're blabbering about! Compared to other well-educated Pinays or even those who are not and who are married to foreigners and who also do vlogs here on YT, your vlog is nothing but ALL BS AND FULL OF NARCISSISTIC, BRAGGY CRAP, so full of yourself! Get over it and try to do some worthy positive things instead of doing crappy videos like this that only show how low, and how idiotic, and how narrow-minded, and how jealous, and how envious, and how short-sighted, and how negative and how pitiful you are!!! Once again, YOU'RE SO FULL OF YOURSELF SO GET OVER IT BECAUSE YOU'RE NOTHING COMPARED TO A LOT OF FILIPINAS, EVEN THOSE WHO HAPPENED TO BE MARRIED TO NON-FILIPINOS! Magsalamin ka muna because you're all smoke and mirror! Pweh! 👎👎👎🖕

Hello, lady. Are you offended by what I'm about to say? To be honest, I'm simply speaking the truth. I'm informing the audience what they're in for if they select a Filipina (like you) LOL. But don't be too insulted, girl. Please try to be more respectful and intelligent in your replies. Rather than calling me names, cursing me, and making all of these impolite and unladylike remarks, it only demonstrates that your manners are poor and that you are more likely to screw a foreigner if you have one. It's also quite terrible that you're attempting to personally attack me by calling me names and things. Plus, I'm not claiming to be attractive. That was not even mentioned in my video. Wow, lol, it was clear you didn't watch the entire video and only listened to a few minutes of it. Furthermore, I am not generalizing; did you get what I mentioned in my video? "I'm not trying to generalize all Filipinas because we're all different, and there are good Filipinas out there," I stated. Did you even hear it? Or are you just blinded by my nasty statements about these Filipinas who mistreat Westerners seeking good relationships in the Philippines? I realize you are upset and annoyed by my video, but please try to be more open-minded and courteous. It's fine if you disagree with what I'm saying, but please be more respectful next time. While it is normal for people to hold opposing viewpoints, it is critical to maintain a healthy and courteous conversation. Remember that everyone has the right to an opinion, and keeping the dialogue calm and respectful can lead to a more meaningful exchange of views. THANK YOUUU AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY AHEAD! I WILL PRAY FOR YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU, SISTER :-)

As an expat living in Davao for over 5 years, I agree 100%. Some hard earned advice from the trenches, pick your expat friends carefully! If they are wealthier than you.and indulge their filipina's every whim (most do), your filipina will see it.and demand at least as much. Your on a fixed income? Doesn't matter. They will drive you crazy! A truth bormb here, your filipina is not with you because you are so guapo and she loves your white skin and big nose. Women are the same worldwide. She is there because of your financial resources. Period. Hate to bust your bubble but you at 50, 60, 70 are not better looking, in her eyes, than a 19 year old pinoy. He is broke and you have cash. It is that simple.

My Filipina wife told me before we got married, "Don't spoil me or you will ruin me". She was absolutely correct, and she did change literally overnight and became a different person. She actually said "We're married now, things are different". Not saying she is a bad person or anything, but her attitude towards the relationship changed after marriage and she was less fun loving and more demanding and complaining. This however, will apply to almost all Asian women, especially Korean or Thai and to some extent Vietnamese.

Just don’t have Oneitis “soulmate “ mentality. You’re not likely going to die together. She existed before you met and will after. If things aren’t working out be quick to call it quits. Love and trill her to the best possible and if it doesn’t work out, so be it!

In saying this we from the outside of the culture there should remember they are not play things. So as for us men " Have our heart and Spirit correct" or lose in the end from not being mature enough to pace it regardless of how beloved she may appear. No, a partner can only ruin your life if you set the wrong boundaries. An expat should never wave that carrot in her eyes that says she can do whatever she wants with no repercussions. An expat should never marry a Filipina but enter into a domestic partnership where she must prove herself over years before she has any control of finances. And I mean prove in the bedroom, in public, and in all of her actions. If not, end the domestic partnership. And start again. And on the next one you can explain why the last one didn't work out. If you do end up with one she will be a keeper. And YES domestic partnerships are real in the Philippines. They were designed for people who wanted to partnership in business. But, they apply equally to relationships with the proper paperwork

Some of you know my story... This is exactly what happened to my ex-wife when I brought her here to America from The Philippines... She completely changed and I have no idea who this person is today... Out of deep respect I went to her country and married her around her own people, and when I came back home, I saved up the money and built them a decent house to keep a roof over their heads to where the rain would stay off of their heads... I bought them sack after sack of rice, so that they would have something to eat, so they would not starve... Then I saved the money to bring my wife here... had two children with her and kept her safe from harm for eight years while she was away from home... When I brought her mother and father here they spit in my face... they started allowing another married man, a co-worker, to come in my home to romance her while I was at work because he had more money than I had... it destroyed our marriage and everything then she became pregnant with the man's child... it was more than I could stand... I could not believe how much she had changed into this unbelievable person with no morals or ethics whatsoever... I will never forget what she has done to our children and destroyed the relationship between me and children... they have done nothing but try to erase me from history, because they have become so arrogant that you cannot even speak to these people... Money has destroyed them... they have become nothing but narcissistic psychopaths, who have no ethics for anything or anyone... That's why I have not seen my daughters in 11 years so at least I have my dignity.... Not all Filipinas are this way, but it will destroy their character if you bring them here to the United States.... After all of the tears I have cried over this situation, it took me years to stop blaming myself for what happened and I realize that I loved my family and I did nothing wrong to destroy it.... After all of the sacrifices I made for them when I lost my job I was hoping that they would have my back and help me, but they tossed me to the curb, and I was no longer worth anything to them... It was an extremely hard lesson to learn, but that's why I have been single for 11 years and have a hard time dating anyone today because that trust has been betrayed and brutally destroyed within me. Soon hopefully when my two daughters turn 18 years old, they will come see their father, and they will find out the truth of who their father really is instead of all the bullshit they have been told about me... So please be careful guys if you decide to marry a Filipina ! Have a good day Everyone...

American women may be the worst though, I was in my 40's and still looking. As far as the Philippines goes, I spent a couple years doing long distance, writing off five Filipina gals before #6 was the keeper. With the others, a red flag eventually popped up some fairly soon, others only after months of communication. With #6 that never happened. One time though, I did suspect she was scamming me, but no, unfortunately it was true. That was 14 years and two daughters ago, I helped her through nursing school here and she is doing great. Yes, she has what I consider a few flaws, but I sure do too. Best decision I ever made in my life.

I’m a Filipina, married to an American for 15 years and counting… I have met many Filipinas here in the states that, well, in the lack of a better word, opportunists. And you can tell (at least I can tell) just by looking at how they portray themselves in public and in social media. Once I went out with a group of scantily clad Filipina acquaintances and almost got harassed at the bar. I quickly called my husband to come pick me up. As I was explaining to my hubby, he pointed out that the girls probably had not have this much of freedom and abundance when they were back in the Philippines and they’re literally “venting” out. I understood that part but I still didn’t understand why they would disgrace themselves like that in public. Back home, only hookers would dress like that…it’s no difference here in the US. I know, someone will say it’s a free country and they have all the right to dress anyway they want. My answer to that is , don’t expect to be respected the way you want then because everyone is free to have an opinion. Not all Filipinas are like that though and like I pointed out, we can immediately tell. I would usually warn friends who have plans on traveling there to find a Filipina… The girls you want are the ones introduced by friends you trust in a family gathering… the likelihood of meeting your meek, good-hearted girl in a bar or the beach party is .02% and that’s if you’re lucky.

Hi Mia, I was married to a Filipina, 22 years ago. When I married her she never told me that she had a three-year-old daughter from a previous boyfriend and it was 2 1/2 years into the marriage before I found out the daughter existed. She told so many lies and you are right, she became aggressive and was hitting me if I did not give her money. I finally divorced her after four years. She just married me to move to the UK. This Filipina is now on her third husband. She will never be happy and will always be seeking something better than she has got. The funny thing is she has six sisters and they are all loving mothers and wives so I really did Marry the black sheep of the family. A very simple test you can do is to leave a few pesos lying around and see if she picks them up and then you will know if you have a thief on your hands. Thanks again and have a great day 😊

Filipinas are very good women. Lived in Cebu and Manila for a year. The country is gorgeous and very affordable, but personally I would never marry ANY woman again. There is no longer a benefit for Western men to marry. If a woman is not willing to live with you, instead of getting married, do not lead her on, simply break up with her. All women change once they marry. Treat her nice and take care of her, but always give yourself an out when she misbehaves. Do not let any woman disrespect you Kings.
@PennPearson

Good advice, especially, "...always give yourself an out...". After living in East Asia for 33 years, I think the willingness and ability to walk out on a woman is essential. The whole dynamic of a relationship with an Asian woman changes completely in her favor if she thinks you're trapped. If she knows you can walk away at any time, she won't become a spoiled, entitled princess.

This is an important subject to discuss. I see so many expats that RUSH into marriage and than find out they made a mistake. One thing you need to keep in mind is women can change over TIME. Especially if you have been married over 7 years. The most common time that couples divorce in the USA is 7 to 8 years after marriage. Personally my marriage didn't start to break down until 15 years and by year 21 we divorced. She really changed a LOT over 15 years from a sweet, loving and kind young 26 year old girl to a cranky, bitchy, complaining 41 year old women. Caveat Emptor!

A man needs to marry a woman that loves him, you find her in high school that girl that is not so pretty but will do anything you ask her to do, even if she see you talking to another student she never complains, the one that tells you, I don't care who you date just don't leave me.

but did you change? all i hear is she, she, she, what made her this way? Most women lives are change through reflection of how a man has treated her through the years. Take for example my mom. Sweet lady after 41 years but finally realized that my Dad was a drunk for the entirity of the marriage.. Me and her reflected on past things that dad has done to the family.. I have Autism.. so in some ways i didn't grow up w/ a father.. He rejected me everything that i know i had to learn for myself. -__- please i don't need a comment saying i shouldn't define myself threw that word.. -__- Trust i have not allow it i embraced it a long time ago, its my super power. Graduated Junior Year found out I am stupidly smart w/ Graphs Numbers and Art. ___ For her she stay quiet and became the sweet loyal Christin wife but she was a 'Tea Kettle' this entire time. Personally for me i can't remember a day i have not seen a beer in his hand. He was kind to her when they married but flips into a whole different person as a outer body experience so Rude.. I vowed to never be like him.. I realized women aren't complicated --- you treat them like a Princess / Queen then in retrospect will treat you the same way. My dads addiction made me a more endearing / sympatric person towards others. When i am dating someone.. I see the small things that she does this builds Rep. .. For women if you stop being sweet, caring, loving to them it is simply the same feeling of you cheating on them.

You described my freinds ex wife filipina perfectly. He divorce her after 5 misserable years of asking for bigger house, BMW, fancy designer clothes. Never worked just spend money. After 2 years asked for a divorce every day, then say just kidding. Berated him to other filipina friends because he will not buy her everything the same as or better than all her filipina friends. Going to filipina parties every weekend where the husbands all sit on the couch while the wife and friends cackle in tagalog. If an american girl comes to the party they alienate so she will not come again. I could go on and on. This woman grew up in the slums of cebu with nothing and was never satisfied. Her second marrige lasted 6 months with the guy who cheated with her that gave her everything and still she treated him the same as the first and another divorce. I met a filipina and have dated many years, visted many times trying to make sure she will not act the same. There are as many nightmares as there are successful relationships.

Thank you for this video, Mia. Because I've been wondering for years why I was getting so many friend requests from like 6 or 7 Filipinas at once, years ago. Out of all of them, I was talking to 3 of them for a while. I was never the commitment type myself (and yes, I would let them know that up front), but They all would tell me the same thing: they're looking for a good man and that there were no good men in their country (yeah, right). I was 36 or 37 at the time and they were all in their early to mid 20's, which made it sound even more too good to be true. They would hint to me I should go to their country so I could visit them, but I never followed up on that proposal. I think it was for that reason they started ghosting me one by one. One of them would even talk to me on the phone every night, sounding cute, charming, even adorable. But after a while, she starting acting differently, like making negative comments on my appearance. Anyhow, I could go on and on, but I ended up deleting her after not hearing from her after a while. Sorry for the long post, but thanks again for that info. Now I know the story behind them all.

You may talk to 3 at a time.. :( umm bruh you played w/ fired at that time.. if they knew you flirting around there would be HELL to pay. Pinays are lady's of action.. the reason they want you come there is to see if You are real. We as humans can be one person while typing online, but a total different person all together in person. Naturally they are clingy women, they enjoy spending time w/ you at preety much any time of the day.. they blow there friends off to spend time w/ you.. When you go there you suddenly YOU become #1 in there lives almost to the point of how they feel about their family. But here's the trick of finding a good one, spend time w/ her family see how she acts and behaves towards them.(if she treats them endearing over the course of your relationship shes a keeper) (but) (if she won't respect them she most certainly not respect you.... It is easy to find a Beautiful Gem there, but its hard to learn about her heart.

We have to be careful. I did something I never wanted or expected to do, but it was probably the best thing I did in the Philippines when looking for someone. I found a girl who worked for the Philippine Government, had a college degree, was a widow, and had two daughters. I really did not want kids or a previously married woman. But, I found out she was responsible, hard working, and mistreated by her prior husband who died of medical reasons. The two daughters missed and needed a father, and she needed help. After almost two years of taking and living together, we married. I could never have two better kids in my life -- smart, respectful, responsible, and funny, and they always help me. The wife is smart, hard working, responsible, and takes care of me very well. She makes me happy every day. We have a great family. So far, nothing has changed in our relationship, and all is normal. She runs and manages the house and serves as my translator, the girls have their chores and responsibilities (no complaints), and I make the major decisions and guide the family.

This is so true. When I was single in my 20’s stationed in Pearl Harbor a friend of mine was married to a Filipina. She was sweet in the beginning. It was until she got pregnant and had there son she did a 180. Being in the same command I witnessed him coming to work with bruises. I’ve gone over to their base housing where while drinking and playing spades she was all up on another guy. Basically cheating a room away. It got so bad that he almost lost his career and child. He finally left her before we both got stationed in California. I in the Bay Area and he in San Diego. Thankfully he got full custody of his son. The whole experience turned me off to interracial dating for a while. Especially with Filipinas. Lucky for me I met and married a good woman who’s White/Filipina mixed from Oakland. Go figure.😊👍🏾

The rest? A dick hole with a whole slew of issues. The good thing about living here, is that a replacement is literally right outside the door. They may not be western women but they are toxic as hell and ruthless when it comes to getting men. They have no issues with fucking their friend's or sister's or even daughter's partner. I am happily married to a Filipina for 34 years. I have experienced strange relationships between Pinays and Foreigners. Let us face the fact thet MANY marriages are made because of poverty and often there is not enough love involved. Many guys seeking partners in foreign countries all over the world are actually poor loosers. And often they marry women of doubtful background. Foreigners MUST be aware that strong family ties are the norm in the Philippines. So they do not marry onlay a partner but they marry into a family. Actually Pinays are very often much better wifes than women from other countries. I can say that over 90% of Filipinas married all over the world are great partners who carry A LOT and support their husbands and kids in every way possible.

The relationship cycle of a narcissist / selfish / fake person is always the same: 1. Lovebomb, 2. Devaluation, 3. Discard. They will pretend to love you and be your (fake) "soulmate", then they will see you're not "fixing them" so they start to put you down because they're disappointed (due to unrealistic expectations), then they try to get rid of you by acting horrible or cheating.

Thank you for the most enlightening video Mia. I agree with the risks when the foreigner husband takes his Filipina wife to the west. There are many, many horror stories, especially when there is a larger age gap. It is very common for the immigrated Filipina wife to get into a circle of Filipina expats who have found "greener pastures" in the west. Many of them will convince her that the best thing to do is what they did. Wanting to "move up", they often find younger, richer, more handsome and charming western men to leave their husbands for. If the age gap is something like 30 years this is almost guaranteed. That is one of the reasons my Filipina wife and I have no desire to move from the Philippines to the west. We value our happy marriage far more than the financial opportunities that the west offers.

Another fact is most Filipinas are not stupid, and find a large portion of Filipino men, especially younger men are irresponsible. They find a larger portion of western men to be more responsible, especially older foreign men. That is a big part of the attraction.

Watching and listening to this strikes into my heart. This was me and my Filipina wife 12 years ago. Even the bedroom scene and the dog on the bed is familiar. Cheated on from day one. However, I forgave and persisted because allowances must be made for coming from the absolute depths of poverty that very few foreigners know. Even when they see it. I persisted also because I fell in love with her family. Imagine a child, in rags, 7 years old, dancing to a tune that only she could hear. The family living rough, shucking corn for pennies. That was my first sight. It bought tears and a determination to see this family right. That 7 yo. is to day a grown woman, my sister-in-law. She is bright, cheeky, polite and with supreme self confidence. She graduated dux of primary. She graduated dux of secondary. She is now today, a capped enrolled nurse who keeps topping the year in nursing. Her sister, graduated Valedictorian in business admin and accountancy. There is more to Filipinas than just the girl you marry. My point here is, to all the foreigners thinking of going down this road: Yes, there is a dark side, exactly as in the video, and I experienced that in full measure. But you can embrace the culture, embrace the family and be rewarded beyond you wildest expectations.

She came down hard on me because I didn't answer the phone the way she wanted. Suddenly, I began to feel guilty and like I was walking on eggshells. I tried to put her in check and she became more irritated. I immediately told her that I'm done, we're done. I refused to take her further calls. Eventually, she got some older American to pay for her annulment and is now "miserably" living with him. But, a free man. 😊

Mia, you're an angel, trying to tell Western men to be careful. It's an important message and I hope they listen. I had a friend, a good guy, whose Philippine wife asked for a divorce two weeks after she got her American "green card". Another friend's Philippine wife's family completely drained him of all of his money, buying jeepneys, and then kicked him out. He ended up a drunk in Thailand, broke. He's probably dead now. Another friend's Philippine wife discarded him and moved out of their beautiful home as soon as he set her up in a business that earned a profit. Another friend's Philippine wife embezzled $180,000 from his business and sent it to her family in the Philippines. All of those men were good and kind. They didn't deserve what those women did to them. I don't know of any marriages between foreign men and Philippine women that turned out well for the foreigner in the long run. Americans are great people, but they're dreamers and they give themselves to hopeful fantasies, so they get exploited by that kind of woman. We Russians accept the grim, dark, reality of life, we live without hope and so, we're less likely to get screwed by women.

Never mind she’s the one that caused such a long delay in her getting here. @@garyzies3486 In general, yes. Maybe because of our own corruption, we don't trust anyone easily except our family and old friends. We're suspicious about foreigners and maybe we're less romantic, too. Since we're poorer than Americans, we worry more about money and assume other people do, too - especially women, and very much women from third-world countries. The old saying, "fools rush in" didn't just fall out of the F'n sky. After my divorce in 94', I made a pact with myself to date a woman for 3 years before considering marriage. Over the past 28 years, not one woman has made the cut. After enough time (usually a year or two), women will begin to show their true selves. IMO, men are more genuine about who they are from the get-go as opposed to women, especially Western women...who'll initially be sweet, sexy and refreshingly cooperative. This makes sense as they just want to "close the deal" asap. The longer you wait however, the more likely you'll see she gets tired of putting on the "velvet trap act" and start slipping up more and more. It is quite sad however, when you see this unfortunate scenario play out over and over, because you want so much to believe she won't change. But alas, she does change, leaving you with one option...break it off. I'm thinking a Western man's best option is move to Thailand, The Phils or a Latin Country where you'll have a much better shot at finding a woman that passes the time test and really is wife material (interestingly, Paul married Mia after approx. 3 years of dating) or just date the exotically attractive creatures there.

I agree with most all this. I married not 1 but nearly 2 filipina's (not at the same time of course, its a crazy story tho). Basically the 1st one i started the process to marry (in the philippines) while I was staying w/ her family while we processed the paperwork. Only to find out when she went to the submit the paperwork that she was already married and never told me about it. Claiming she forgot. While she had a story that seemed plausable. She was very sorry about the matter. She claimed she had separated from the person shortly after the marriage and thought that somehow it was nullified. She was kinda humiliated i guess by the incident and literally fled the country leaving me w/ her family in very small remote village hours away from a major city. without a word to anyone. While i don't believe her intentions where malicious, we eventually got back together once she reached out to family. and i talked her into coming back from Kuwait (where i guess she went to work to escape the shame). There was more drama much later in the relationship that lead to me breaking it off w/ her after being w/ her for about 5years. back and forth for long stays in the PH. then i would go back to US to work. Cause in fact i didn't have much money then. So she wasn't after money. But further to the point. The next woman i Ended up marrying in the phillipines some time after the 1st relationship failed. And eventually brought her back to the US which was HER wish. I actually wanted to remain in the phillipines to live a more peaceful life. And everything you said about them changing after marriage was entirely true. She immediately changed to be a completely different person. And even more so once i brought her to the US. We somehow managed to stay married for 7+ years before just recently divorcing. She ended up having a long affair here in the US w/ another man. and i spent ~4years after finding out trying to forgive her and patch the marriage back together. But it was miserable. should have just separated then and there once i learned about her infidelity. Cause she made my life hell (even more so after the cheating). Things became so bitter & volatile & violent as you say. constantly fighting. Anyway. Sorry to ramble. i have so many stories it makes my head spin. I will say even tho we are separated. her family wants me to come visit them. cause i spent so much time in PH staying w them. i was over there off & on for 5years.

I have noticed that there are two situations you have to watch out for. The first is the person who misrepresented who they are to get a better life. And the second is a person who changes and starts becoming entitled or angry or bitter. For the first type, you probably were not careful enough and should have looked for red flags. For the second type, it is up to you to stand up for yourself when mistreated and say that is not acceptable. And you have to be willing to say no. My wife changed and started demanding things and being overly critical. I took two critical steps and she turned back into that sweet girl I married. The first was that I flat out told her that I love her and will do whatever I can to make her happy, however, she has to be respectful. I treat her with respect, so she needs to treat me with respect. If she asks politely, she gets what she wants. If she treats me harshly or like a servant, then it is an automatic no. And I did exactly that. She learned very quickly, if she wants something, she must treat me with respect, just like I treat her with respect. The second thing I did was make sure that I was fulfilling her needs, and it turned out that I was not. I was not spending enough quality time with her, and I was not doing things she expected me to do as the man. I remedied that by figuring out what she wanted and then doing that. Now we are both happy and get along just fine. So, sometimes it is not just the woman in the relationship, sometimes it is also because the man lets the woman walk all over him. You should treat each other with respect, and when that goes away, you need to fix that immediately because things will go down hill fast if you don't.

Just to add, its of utter most importance, that the man set the rules and expectations, before committing to anything. That he will not be an ATM, he will not take verbal abuse. But you are spot on. Men think caving into their demands will make things better when it won't. This is very much true of all women. I told my wife and still have to remind her, "You don't tell me what to do, You ask and I will do my best to fulfill your need or request."

Mia, You are so right and correct in all that you say. I am a New Zealander & got married to a filipina in Dipolog City. I paid all her many expenses and i bought her to my country New Zealand. There in New Zealand she broke all her promises to me and she dated all the other men that she could find. Eventually she broke up with me and she hitched up living with a younger filipina man there in my New Zealand city. We got divorced in my country because of her selfish actions. All she really wanted from me was to use me so she could get a free work visa and permanent free entry to my country so she could make herself rich.

Mia, you give another hard dose of reality. You have put emphasis again on taking your time to know a person. I have received this message loud and clear. I feel like it has been beaten into me. I feel that because of my age (64 in August) there is extra pressure on me to "get it right". Most likely there will be at least a 30 year age gap with the Filipina who chooses me, as I accept her after the "courting-dating" examination process. It is not my nature to look for the dark side, but that is certainly advisable. Thank you for your perspective, and even advice.

There is nothing forcing you into a thirty year gap. That is you hoping one is desperate enough to hook up. There are many great women closer to your age but you have to look harder for them.

@@dumaguetedreaming A man’s preference for a younger woman does not mean she necessarily needs to be bad girl. My ex is 9 months older than me, gave me hell and I’m glad to see her gone at great financial cost to me but my peace of mind is invaluable. So back to your point.. age is not too important but maturity.

It is up to us man to draw the line. When we open our heart and show kindness even to a family member, they will take advantage. The man needs to ask what happened to you? What changed? ... And get to the root of the issue. Men do not let bad behavior fly. Get to the root right there, if you let others treat you bad....it will only get worst, I been there.

Thanks to this young lady for her honesty and openness. I knew a co-worker who married a young, beautiful Filipina and brought her to a very good life here in the US. He gave her whatever she wanted and paid for her college education to become a physical therapy technician. However I discovered that she was posting sexy, near-nude photos online and I told her cousin back in the PH who I regularly chatted with, but she refused to believe it and said she was a faithful wife. Anyway, a few months later when the co-workers wife graduated from college and got a good job, she left him, divorced him and soon married a Filipino man who had moved to the US. I never told my co-worker about the photos because I didn't really know him well. It was sad, because that just used him.

It is true what you say I’m married to a Filipina for 3 years now and she isn’t the same person that she was when we meet. But fact is we all become complacent in a relationship the older the relationship is. We need to keep the communication going!!! And tell your partner if something bothers you. If a man stands back and takes abuse from a partner then he either likes it or thinks he has to take that behaviour. Fact is if a Filipina or any other nationality wife, fiancée or girlfriend becomes abusive then get out of that relationship, it’s not healthy!!!

I had the full treatment. I was lucky ... in a (sad) sense... in that my wife's dad died on the day of our marriage so we called it off for a year and by then I was totally sure i didnt want to marry her. And when I found out she was cheating, that was the end. But close! Yes, she almost got me to buy a house (even though I already owned an apartment) - but by then I was aware of that trick and backed off. And then she knew that I knew. Yes, she would walk in front of me in shopping malls, restaurants and in the street - as if i wasn't there. Yes, she wanted me to take her to Australia (no thanks, I said). Yes, she was after my money in a big way, Yes she talked down to people below her social scale and could be aggressive with them. Yes she had an affair for several years with a police captain and even played mommy, looking after his two children. Happy families - all the while taking an allowance of 40,000 pesos i gave her each month, plus regular top ups. Yes, she could be violent. Yes, she lied - I caught her out on a lie many times. Yes, she could be extremely sweet and loving when she wanted something, but could turn in an instant in her temper. A real Jeckel and Hyde roller coaster ride. I was with her eight years... the last couple were pretty dead. Little to no communication, just occupying the same house space. I just let her go out and see her friends (well, now I know it was her bf and his family) and I stayed at home by myself. She was 36 when we parted... now she is in Australia doing really well and I am actually very happy for her and even proud for her. She has a great job and a Philippine boyfriend who is a manager of a company. Way to go! NOW I have a 19 year old girlfriend who is articulate, intelligent, polite and works in a call center in another province who is stunning...we meet at weekends and it is wonderful. (I am under no illusion that it will last more than a year, but hey ho!) I have the week to myself. Perfect. She NEVER asks me for money, is totally over the moon if i buy her a dress for 500 pesos etc etc. Chalk and cheese. No talk of marriage, she is too young and she doesnt want it. Now, I have oodles of money cascading in to my bank account... and am comfortably off, because I dont have a partner who is milking me. So, in short, as our esteemed Vloger host said, there ARE great Filipinas out there who are honest and hardworking and who are wonderful to be with.

The good thing about living in the, Philippines is that a replacement is literally right outside your door. When they start acting like you are their personal ATM or their family's primary source of income then... Well if you want to act like a hoe then you will get treated like one. Kick them out and move on. Always a nice little morena right outside waiting for you. Hell, if you have her on a social media page, chances are her friends or even family members have already contacted you to "hang out".

My wife's friend got a 32" TV then the next one got a 42" TV then the next one got a 52" TV until the richest one got a 60' TV. Then a friend got a Grand Father clock...and the cycle started all over again lol

I've experienced this with a Filipina here in the states and we weren't even married. Everything from shopping to buying her a car which I had to draw the line there . Any money she made was her money and my money was treated like our money as I paid all the bills including food. She had married a navy guy back in 1986 before subic bay shut down just for the sole purpose of getting to the United States and then claimed abuse to get a divorce. She was from Durham samar and grew up very poor and was sent by her parents to work in olongapo. She was a very damaged person.

What’s the benefits of marrying a Fillipina? Absolutely nothing. Keep them needy. Keep them needing you for monthly bills every month. Do not make yourself expendable especially if you’re an old man.

If you can't get something in your name with a good attorney in the Philippines don't touch it, especially real estate. Property in her name destroys that fragile flower of love with her, it's way too much temptation to put on her and her relatives will suddenly befriend her etc. BTW her relatives would never do something that dumb so they lose respect for the sucker who does but will try to push you to do it, why not try. It's the most totally avoidable soul crushing nightmare F'up of all. You might not think a scooter in her name matters at all but that might be a troubling temptation for her much less a car and absolutely a house. I don't see any compelling reason to get married in the Phil's but tons of reasons not to. For years, story after story. There is no shortage of good girlfriends last I checked and I first came to Asia in "86. I spend most of my time in safe, dependable Taiwan, it's a big nothing of an easy cheap flight to the Phil's and most importantly an easy flight out. So many times I've seen guys who should have exited more often to BKK, TPE, KL all of them. Stay prepared, it's no big deal, ATM card, cash, phone, MacBook, only you guard your own passport, stuff your carry on and go.. I've known of "Such perfect angels" to abscond with guys' passports (Phils and Thai) and hold them hostage. You show people that you call your own shots by traveling whenever you want and that it's nice to be nice to you. If your girl over a few years has been really good it's maybe ok for a kid's sake but even then most of these girls don't handle power well and marriage gave her the power to take your kid to your country without you. Money is power and they don't handle money well, so what's that tell you ? Treat her well but don't put a pistol to your own head. straight and simple.

When traveling to a foreign nation, it's important to exercise caution, preserve your assets, and be mindful of the dangers and temptations involved in transferring property or assets into someone else's name. It's also important to establish boundaries, maintain control in a relationship, and be prepared to leave if necessary.

best is to just rent since you can not own property (land) as a non native, or unless your very rich and can use some-kind of loophole like a corporation/trust or something. even without marriage sometimes its not worry free if for example you made a shit ton of money or assets while she was living with you she can get 50% of that.
