I think what helps your wife is she had traveled outside the Philippines for work and pleasure . Those that haven't are 💯 dedicated to the family and providing for everyone. Before I came back I spent 115,000 pesos on families food to eat and other things they needed . The United States is so rich ,but very selfish people. Those in the Philippines have very little, but love and live happy lives . It changed me completely. Be blessed always . John..

Thanks for making this video. I helps me to understand when my gf/fiancé comes here in 6 weeks 9/23/24. It's quiet here too in SC but 30mins from Myrtle Beach. Hopefully we can find some filipino friends. It takes time to get adjusted with the culture and surroundings. It will be a learning experience for both of us, so we can both co-habitat. I'm sure it'll be OK to be together. Thanks again!

Glad the video could be of help to you. It is a bit of a challenge learning to live together with each other. My wife speaks English, but does not understand some of the subtle nuances that comes with growing up in a language. There is a lot of repeating as we often don’t understand each other but are working together to overcome this slight problem. We live in North Carolina and my southern English accent, sometimes is difficult for her to understand along with her Filipino English accent the same is true of me. We were four years with our long distance relationship. Covid drastically slowed down the process. My wife has been in the country now a year this month and she is enjoying her time. It is a sacrifice on both accounts, but it is all worth it in the end. I thought with being in a long distance relationship over the phone for four years would have prepared us for marriage and living together and I guess to some extent it did. But I have found that it’s just like a new relationship all over again because living on the phone is one thing and living in person is entirely something different. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. We love each other deeply. I hope you and your fiancé find similar love and happiness in your relationship. How long have you known one another?

@@RizandMe We have been in a LDR too, pre-covid. So, once Covid lifted in the Philippines... I was able to visit in 4/2023. We spent a month together in a Condo in Cebu City. But we travelled to Baytanyan Island and Boracay. In Boracay is where i pop the question, if she want to come to America. She was excited and surprised I asked her. As soon as I got back to America, I started the K1 visa application. Yes, I tackle that myself took me 2 months to gather all the for me and her's. It was time staking getting her info. July 2024, K1 visa got approved. She did the medical at St. Lukes and US Embassy interview. She passed with flying colors and got her passport sent to her house. So, she'll be arriving on 9/23/24. So, we have been LDR for about 5 yrs, will tie the knot in 90days after arrival....lol. As far with language I was born and raised in NYC, so don't really have an accent. @@RizandMe LOL yes I have some wonderful advice that I have learned "DON'T DO IT GUYS"!!!. Asian women have horrible tempers 100000000000000000% and when they get mad they do not care about anything else other than expressing themselves no matter how harsh and rude it is! and ZERO shame expressing it I video taped my wife without her knowing it when she lost her temper and she was so so so so shocked when she watched it. She actually got mad again and acted even worse to know I had betrayed her by videoing her when she was mad and acting like an Idiot. "BUT" it let her see how she acted and she did not really care and she still acts that way without self observance. My suggestion is to men who want to find a Asian beauty is to go to Asian Countries and let women THINK you want to marry them and have there fun with them and get it out of their system and then come back to the good ole United States and go about your business. I have been married to 2 Asian women and both were the same! The only difference with this one is I have learned to totally ignore her and want no intimate affection from her because thats what Asian women use as leverage! I really really hate to post this but it is the truth for a-lot of men! If you do not believe me there are 10000's of forums online telling you the same thing! But I guess there are some success stories out there but they are few few few and non existent.. I wish you both and hope the best for you!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for all the messages but one more thing. You can download multiple apps that can translate what someone is saying. So what I do is I download an app and when my Filipina is talking to her Mom I record everything without her knowing and I read all the caption. Most of the things she is talking about is how she is living when she is with me. No red flags when she is talking to her mom. However, when she is talking to her filipina girlfriends I see they talk about she wishes they can come to restaurants with us when we go out in Cebu/Manila so no red flags on that yet. But what I will say is try to download an app that translates when someone is speaking and sit close to her when she is talking so you can read everything later. But back to what I was saying about brining her to the big cities here like NYC or Chicago or California. They will start getting RUINED and spoiled. I hate to say this but try to not let her have so much 'WOKE' Filipino friends because they will just ruin her. Maybe you might think I am trying to scare you but I am not. I am just saying I am in the process of marrying my Filipina and I am going to make sure I dont get her exposed to all this feminist stuff here in america.

Does she speak Tagalog or Basai? Tom and Jerry? LOL. I can relate to your feeling like you fall short on reciprocating the affection. A tip I will give you, while I was living with my wife in Angeles I had brought small bottles of perfume, lipstick and other things thqat I would randomly give her. Sometimes I would just give her a bouquet of flowers. What I found out about Filipina women, anything you do for them is held in high regards, they love and appreciate any kind of attention from you. Sounds to me like you and her are a good match and there are times misscommunication causes missunderstanding, I have gotten so if she says something that offends me, I realize english is her second language, I wait and ask her about the same thing again and sometimes again and as she rewords her meaning I understand better. Good luck

She is very traditional and you want to keep her that way. She cooks for you and I am sure she cleans. Do not train her too much about america. I am just telling you the real deal. Dont let her have too much woke friends. I am a 46 year old black american born and raised here in NYC. When I bring her back here we ill not live here in NYC like I said..We will be elsewhere wherever that is based on my remote job. But I think you should try to at least order her stuff from Amazon that has some Filipino stuff that she will like. Just surprise her and type if Filipino food, filipino groceries whatever and order it for her. Snacks, etc Ask her what snacks or what soap she likes. For example my Filipina like Sunsilk. That is a FIlipino shampoo almost every filipina knows about because they sell it everywhere in the PH and filipinas love that. So just ask her what products she likes and then surprise her by buying it for her she will love ir bro. Good luck.

I moved to the Philippines in 2014 where I lived in San Jose del Monte for a few months up in Bulacan when I first moved there, then I moved down to General Santos City for about 6 months. When I left there I moved up around the city of Dumaguette where I settled in and mostly around that town in smaller communities around that area of southern Negros Island ,and traveled a lot back and forth to Cebu City where my wife's family lived ,and she taught school at the Little Bamboo Foundation for the very poor children there. I moved back to the states in 2018 due to medical issues and 6 months later I got her over here on a tourist visa so that she could help me rehab and we had every intention of going back, but the doctors had other plans and said my globe trotting days were over. So we put in for a change of status for her visa and got it changed to a immigration visa. She got her citizenship last August last year. Now working on her dual citizenship. We live down on the Mississippi gulf coast close to military bases and veterans hospitals for medical and base shopping now.

So my question to you, Riza, is...are you happy and satisfied living here [where you are] or would you prefer to return to PH? I can see that you are pleased with the comparative quietness of your present home. Of all the PH videos that I have watched, the noise pollution, ie, chickens, dogs, bikes, music and more, was nearly unbearable (to me) unless one lived in a more secluded location, which is possible. I also understand your dissatisfaction with the state-side grocery markets of not finding fresh foods. I too, share this same dissatisfaction as I have been to other places that have fresh markets with the fresh foods soooo much better than what is offered to us, now! The fresh fruit is generally terrible. Before the stores got big [turning into super markets], let's say back in the 1960's, or so, fresh foods were generally plentiful with the quality and tastes being far superior to what is available, now. Every time I see the fresh markets of PH, I get envious of those locals and distressed toward our distribution complex of today.

I tell you something compare to US and Philippines your small city in US you say nobdy walk outside i tell you what because have a population of 100millio or 50millon population thats why everybody there are so many people you say walking around outside and thats you see some store or you call tindahan in the philippines they have like becsuse if you have little money you only in store not in groceries or mall why be cause the store use to people can not afford to buy something if you have small amount of money, thats why dont get me wrong dont compare the philippines and US,why even there is big population in the philippines there is no crime that I see in the US,They respect the senior or the old in philippines and yes philippines is fsmily oriented ,and i think 60%or more is catholic and the other is muslim.

Thank you for your comment. And your words are true there is a great difference between the population. I was only sharing my experience here in the USA and I love both places very much they are amazing. This is only my first time in a small town.

Thank you for the comment both places were amazing ,very important to stay patient and Flexible, Allow Time for Adjustment’s and Understand that it takes time to feel fully settled. Give yourself the grace to adjust at your own pace. Be open to the unexpected changes and opportunities that come with living in a new place.I am not sad I am more looking forward for more adventures in our life very exciting.

@@RizandMe Yes, and maybe is a business opportunity or a Community Leader opportunity, got visit the farmers get some signatures for new markets, talk to the mayor and town hall officials, and make good things happen for your small town: small but has a little of everything; well, since you like the spotlight and you are like organizer and big-picture seer. Best of lucks
