You are using condensed milk ( thicker one) don’t use condensed it will make it more sweeter,use evaporated heat thinner one it will make it more delicious,it’s originates in Japan but filipino upgrade it to different mix to it,they add more to it.

To make a great halo-halo in my opinion, jackfruit and mung beans are a must, just one type of nata-de-coco is enough, also try the macapuno shreds, kaong, you can also add the garbanzo beans in your pantry, and for the crunch use rice crispy instead of fruit loops as the candy flavors does not blend well with the traditional taste of halo-halo.

Wow ur halo-halo looks so yummy. Kuya Kurt super sweet na if use mo condensed milk evaporated milk much better for halo-halo & champorado. Juz an advice Kuya Kurt if u open any tin goods like tin milk. When u open don't leave the reminder in the fridge still in tin can. Transfer it to any container plastic or bowl. It's not safe to use it again if u left open tin in the fridge. Juz advice lang po Kuya Kurt we don't want u to have an upset stomach. God Bless u always ❤

What I do is put the ice cubes in a blender with the evaporated milk that I will normally pour over the ice...and voila...you got your fined shaved ice 🙂

In the old days, we actually add garbanzo in our halo-halo. that was in the 80s, when prices of these ingredients are still affordable. sweetened garbanzo are so delicious.

Cream corn is use also in halo halo by itself. You can use it separately as called mais con yelo. You can also make avocado ice con yelo by itself. You dont need additional ingredients, it has its own flavors.

The corn, you can get it from the generic local supermarket....hate to be wordy but 'Green Giant' is the best there is.You can always store the unused portion in the fridge!Use ziploc bags to diminish bulk.Goodluck & Godspeed!

I think you can make Palitaw next time, kuya Kurt! We’ve done it here before and it’s awesome kakanin! It’s just made of mochiko sweet rice flour, grated coconut (in a bag) toasted sesame seeds and sugar. You can also do mais con Yelo. Creamed corn, evaporated milk sugar and shaved ice. , topped also with corn flakes. Sometimes I ❤ that better than halo halo. We ❤ you kuya Kurt. Another great video ni Kuya Kurt. I love how you add humor to everything. The creamed corn are usually the leftovers from the corn after they remove the kernel. They usually scrape the remaining part of the corn. Also the jar that is not vacuum sealed, I don't know if I would use that. If not vacuum sealed, unwanted "things" can get in contaminating it. But that's my opinion. Other than that, I love how you made this. I also like Kaong on mine. I thought you forgot the milk, very nice. I use Evaporated instead of Condensed because condensed is too sweet for me (diabetic). Love your video as always.

Good job! We're learning from each other! I envy your proximity to that Asian supermarket! The ice cream freezer is well stocked!You're closer to CA where those flavor varieties are easy to come by!As you were cruising the aisle I noticed their Asian vege section!You can make another trip back & develop another episode closer to home! Oh, by the way you can crush fruit loops or any cereal for toppings by putting it a ziploc bag & hammering it with a frying pan or an empty pot! I like that mini ice crusher! That Asian store most likely has a meat,fish & dairy section you could video for us! I hope that they build that kind of store here in PA-NJ-NY tri state! Always transfer (ilipat) it in a glass jar or glass food container after opening any canned good for that matter (you might get botulism) if you don't . We want a healthy Kurt 🤫. Kurt, we use Cream Style Corn in Mais Con Yelo. With just shaved ice, condensed milk and the cream corn, it is also a very tasty dessert. If you want corn in halo-halo, you can get the Corn Kernels.
