In self defense there are sacrifices to be successful. To be real, blood comes out, may lose skin. Theres trade when you wanted not to die.. As filipino you learn this.

With all due respect, this is why fighting should be emergencies only. "In a knife fight, the loser dies on the ground, and the winner dies on the way to the hospital." That being said, stay armed and vigilant.

Usmc vet Trained in multiple martial arts my whole life Got to train with guys in special forces from other countries and learn good things from their martial arts and defensive tactics…. I want to just say FSF is HANDS DOWN the best CQC / self defense method of all time I used to believe it was ninjutsu (3rd degree black belt) until I trained with them and was able to better my own capabilities. If you guys can, learn from Grand master Pintados I just also noticed this channel shows a lot of his videos

On the street, that's a knife. Good by forearms. Regardless, if you want to be safe, get street smart, and travel in groups. Also learning to run is way more useful than learning to fight. You can't go to jail for it either.

As a Filipino living in the Philippines I was trained by my professor in FMA not to block the stick by your arms, the reason is that in real street fight here in our country we utilize jungle bolo or any other improvise bladed weapon with a length of that stick. We are always training with a single or double jungle bolo. Be careful not to return the weapon to your opponent.

Good on you to acknowledge to the bs talkers that self defense means you will get hurt in a fight. You train to get hurt less than the other guy

Filipino martial Arts are one of effective technique but is not for Sport , because very Dangerous. That's why even big person than you is easy to control and knockdown them. IF YOU KNOW ARNIS YOU ALSO KNOW USING KNIFE,BULO, YOUR ARMS, LONG STICK, SAMURAI AND YOU KNOW ALSO DISARMING ALL WEAPONS I SHARE NOW AND ETC. I like Filipinos MARTIAL Arts.

Agree with the forearm block entirely. It's a stick for fuck sake, not a sharp object. And you know what can help strengthen them forearms for such an occasion anyways? Probably hitting your arm on some hard object, especially effective when using a technique, like a Mu ren zhuang! The prophecy be true, yo...

Seems people dont realize that breaking a bone is pretty easy (if you are lucky and the hit doesnt end in some fingers blowing em up and you seeing em fkdup for life) and that some people pass out depending at their pain tolerance level.
