Sorry guys. Just to clarify. Is it Filipino or Tagalog? Many people mix these terms.

Carlos Ochoa it's Tagalog. Filipino is s race, not a language

She actually explains this in another video. Filipino is the language. Pilipino is their nationality. Philippines is their country. The language has evolved over the years to add more "western" letters. In the 80s it was officially labeled Filipino. But Tagalog is the foundation that Filipino was built upon. Hope that helps!

Fililino is a separate language from Tagalog. Tagalog is a native language, while Filipino was only made recently, it encompasses the different languages of the the Philippines, and with the english, spanish, and etc. In short, Tagalog is a 'pure' Filipino language. Filipino language is not.
