Two of my favorite things- chillhop and watching good art.🥰 So glad your channel found me. Always wanted to dive into urban sketching. Love it💜

I love how you don't shy away from any angles. I get nervous watching you sometimes because I can sense you thinking about how you will tackle a certain line, but then you go on with confidence and I can breathe again.

thanks Allie! haha that’s interesting you say that. I don’t really hear what people are thinking when I’m sketching real-time. Usually I cut most of those pauses out in my shorter videos 😂

I’m catching up on some of your older videos. I enjoyed the process and the theme that you created from a collection of various photos. Being a relative newbie this gives me creative ideas to build my sketches. btw…I agree with the use of colors at the end. Beautiful work!

Very cool project! I really like the composite of several references put into one sketch. Well done, Scottie!

Wow, I learned a lot watching you in real-time. I really like the way you tentatively add placeholder dots, then "air draw" before placing your final line. Pen (or brush) and ink with careful shading is my favorite drawing technique.

Hello, it is very attractive to express impressions only through pen ink. This is like looking at an oriental ink painting. That's a really nice picture. Thanks for the good video Always be healthy and happy. ^^

Can you please stop making your drawing videos sooooo good? 😂😂😂 I have every intention on drawing/painting along and I get so mesmerized by the process and how you turn a mere dot into an eyeball, your shading technique, use of brush pen or watercolor and my page is still blank! Ugh 😩🤦🏾♀️ I appreciate your videos so much ❤❤❤

love your videos man ! just bought a set of brush pens and a bottle of black ink and i wanted to know how do you make that greyish liquid in the brush pen ? it looks amazing and i want to try it too
@SketchingScottie3 жыл бұрын
Thanks heaps!🙌🏼 great that you’re getting into brush pens too. Yea light grey ink goes really well with the black. I filled an empty water brush pen with plain water and one drop of ink from my black brush pen. All the best!

16:09 what brush pen/ink are you using? Are you just using a water brush filled with white ink, or is it a white brush pen that I could buy a pack of to you use for highlighting areas of light on my drawings/paintings?
@SketchingScottie Жыл бұрын
It's a Kuretake white brush pen. It comes with the white ink inside. It's a little tricky to use as the white ink seems to dry up easily on the brush tip.😊

What is the light grey brush pen you used on the face? Is that just a watercolour brush pen and mix with water and a little bit of black ink?
@SketchingScottie2 жыл бұрын
yes exactly! It’s a pentel water pen with about 3 drops of ink from the pentel black brush pen👍🏼

Must be confusing to sketch a male skull when dealing with a female subject. Many of the models you sketch are likewise inverted. Causes problems for anyone having elementary anatomical knowledge and perceiving the contradictory biological markers. But let's not get into that touchy subject, wot?
