I did my ex father in laws. 16x32 back in '99 but I did it a bit different. I had to do everything by hand. I dug down 2ft all the way around it until I hit the concrete footer used to hold the walls in, rented an electric jackhammer and once that was out I cut the A frame braces, unbolted each wall and carefully removed it. They wasn't rusted at all. Been in since 1981, but I then put half of it back together built a room in my basement and installed it there. Instated of vinyl liner I took my chopper gun and 25 gal of vinyl ester resin and made a fiberglass shell for it. Wouldn't give it up for nothing. Use it daily.

Its a damn shame us southern folk cant be understood by so many people. I get asked to repeat myself at least once a day by someone but i have yet to talk to someone that i couldnt understand for the most part that speaks english. Yea some cajun folks and old people missin their teeth, and of course em real northern yankees are a little hard to understand but i always get the jist of what they are sayin.

Sorry to hear that jasoncushersee! If the material buried under your 8" slab had been concrete, brick or broken block waste, and it were buried in layers along with tamping the layers as done, the 8" concrete should never have have been a problem. - - - I guess you know that now. Organic waste will ALWAYS settle some. - - - Chris/letsdig18 does not do that kind of work. Knowledge if crucial! Good Work ethic is priceless! Integrity is hard to come by!

I guess it's the Southern Californian in me, but I'll never understand people who don't like swimming pools. That one was in pretty shit shape though, and those older filters are crap compared to the newer ones. Ours is super cheap to maintain, and the solar heater rocks.
