I hope you all are doing well with the horrific weather occurring in so many places all over the country! My husband and I LOVE your channel. It's ideal from a viewer's perspective. So many people put video's out and they are out of sync in just about every aspect of their recorded material. You video's are warm & inviting. Every action taken is coordinated with the narration. Your instructions/explanations are fairly clear (we are complete novices!). No excessive talking; perfect amount of talking to let viewer's get to know you and learn about your operation! I LOVE the fact that your daughter speaks so highly and respectfully of her parents! That's so WONDERFUL; and so transparent when you see the family interactions! You guys ARE GREAT & THANK YOU SO, SO, SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR CONTENT AND HYDROPONIC GROWING KNOWLEDGE!

I'm a week behind planting my annual flower seeds. I bought a well known brand of potting soil and it has the consistency of mulch. But I've been harvesting lettuce for a month and tomorrow I will harvest and freeze parsley.

Wonderful! so enjoying harvesting... parsley is fantastic

Nice looking plants and early season production Katy! They must look superfine once the flow rate is increased a bit. With 11 hours of sunlight now and gaining about 3 minutes a day, growth could really spurt ahead. Will be interesting to follow your seed start to young plant transplanting as the current crops move along. Nice closing shots of your woodland creek! -Bob...

I grow the Casey butterhead. It’s the best butterhead hands down in the summer. It has a crazy vigorous root system and it’s larger overall. Casey is more of a summer butterhead. I grow Rex butterhead in the winter. For some reason Casey doesn’t like winter conditions as much.

they are good. we leave the leaves for the customer when harvesting. a lot of people say they like the leaves

It would be interesting to hear about the economics of growing through the winter compared to the summer. Certainly your produce looks beautiful. Is it worth it?
@HomegrownPassion Жыл бұрын
It is for sure. It's easier to grow in the winter. Remember we have a NG - oil well on our property so NG is not a problem and significantly lowers our cost on production.

Everything looks so lovely 😍 I have a few things started for the garden but I do have a while to wait for other plants to go outside. I saw that curly cucumber do you cull those or do you let them grow for the family to eat? Oh I'm trying a few new things this year because, let's face it. I have a seed buying problem 🤣 My perilla is sprouting and I have some yellow dragon fruit seeded and I cant wait for planting season as im going to try fava beans this year after seeing all the UK allotment gardeners grow it and exclaim about how yummy it is. I hope you're staying safe in Ohio and are not close to the disaster.

We are safe not close to train so hoping our air is ok. yes, the curly cukes I get to eat which I love. we pick them as soon as they get just a little size but still small so the plant can keep producing. I love buying seeds you should see my seed refrig it's really starting to get out of hand.

Yeah, I tried the San Marzano tomatoes in my NFT channels. I ended with the same impression as you. Meh. Poor production, temperamental, long-to-ripen and overly woody. For NFT I like Juliet because the vine is compact enough not to overgrow the channels while producing like mad. 2nd place is Patio for the same reasons.
