OK, I'm used to looking for the errors to see what needs to be fixed, this review let's you see things WAY more clearly(Thanks)...I used to think Shilo's man skills was going to be one of his strengths but really it's his range at Safety(correct me if I'm wrong)....I still think his hits are better than his tackling from this sense, when he hits he doesn't stop advancing on the ball carrier but when he tackles he stops advancing(or reduces his advance too much) centers up and allows the ball carrier two options instead of one(I know it's easier said than done) I just feel like if you always take away that inside hip and NEVER stop the attack(advance with terrible or vicious intent)....like you said though, you're not always going to come out of those collisions in glorious fashion but you still have to make the play(make the tackle).....All in all, after watching this I feel way more confident in Shilo's abilities, can't wait to see how his play is with a better front seven....by the way, the break downs, with the responsibilities drawn on the screen(for each level of the D), Thank YOU.@@BuffedInPrime

My 2cents about Shilo is when he plays great it's hands down above all the rest and that's because he's a play maker and the more defensive plays by stripping the ball, causing fumbles, interceptions he makes gives the team a better chance to win. BUT know body is perfect, I think he needs to work on wrapping up on tackling, I'm sure he knows this and we'll see a much improved Shilo in 2024

I just subbed after this breakdown. Very honest, knowledgeable, objective, and based! Dayum! Let’s get these brothers ratings up! Why? Because ESPN, FOX, ABC , and NBC push nothing but narratives and propaganda! And yes, sometimes race is a problem too; get over it. Shilo is playing elite level football and all the coaches across P5 knew it! They ejected that man from the Rose Bowl on purpose. That was the game changer. Many times you’ll hear an analyst tell you about a player but they’ll never show you the coaches film! NFL coaches are watching this kind of film. Not tell-lie-vision film. That’s for clicks and sales. Shilo is a first rounder! Not because a fan says so! So if you disagree, no one cares! I’m telling you what coaches in the league are saying behind closed doors watching film! Y’all need to stop letting these folks lie to you. Especially about QBs! They never show you the coaches tape and how teams purposely derail good QBs (business decisions) or destroy phenomenal WRs (horrible play calling)! Schemes matter and when you see Cam Newton go from Superman to Clark barely Kent, watch the coaches film. Lastly, this is why no matter what anyone thinks, Sheduer will go 1-2 overall. The film don’t lie! I’ve spent too many hours watching film as a player to think otherwise!

I hope now that Shilo is fully healed & doesn't have to constantly cover other players missed assignments that he can truly shine. He's a Sanders so people will be more critical of him, he's used to that. This year both brothers will be playing to honor their father. Plus going all out as brothers playing their final year together. They may or may not ever play on the same team again. Putting all that together makes for a high performance type energy, that I cant wait to see.

T-Cal, I think you'll like this. I said after the second game, this defense is too advanced for these second and third string players that didn't play at their old schools, because the way Kelly ran his schemes. Then it came to light.... I'm a Patriots fan, sense 1975 and now I'm looking at something similar to the Pats in the early 2000's. Connect the dots... Saban coached under Belichick at the Browns and Kelly coach under Saban at Bama. Birds of a feather, and now the new DC is bringing his mentors defense to the Buffs. If there was not an offense to line up against, they will be in a 3-8 and that's why you have to have three dawgs in the trenches that control the line. I think now he will roll the weak side a lot because he has the backs and backers to do it, like Belichick in the early 2000's. I'm so excited to see this years chaos on the field. It makes total sense to me that his numbers went up after the level change. He plays safety, generally the worse the defense is the more opportunities for tackles the safety will get. It’s not so much about the level. Long story short Shilo has always been a future NFL safety since South Carolina. He does everything well he’s just not elite. I seen a little bit of Dion in him for the first time last season he made a lot of major and possible game shifting plays on the next level. Draft grade going into senior season 4th round.

When people say Shilo "takes bad angles" I think they are referring to the game when he got beat by the QB for a 80 yard touchdown run against Nebraska but he didn't take a bad angle, he came up too early. After that Shilo didn't make that same mistake again, that's why his tackles per game dropped after that.
