Colorado's New 1000-yard Starting Running Back Dallan Hayden. The 5'10 205lbs. RB made the most of his carries in his 2-year stint at Ohio State and should have dependability and playmaking ability. He will be the lead back in 2024 for a high-powered Colorado Offense.

Buckeye here... the only transfer that stung. One of my favorite players. The young man, as a FR, had the most carries vs GA in CFP... enough said. Watch the game and you'll see the talent.

I like him. Former RB here, having that free hand can free up you a few extra hard yards being able to touch the defender/stiff arm. As long as you protecting it though.

TCal I enjoy your points of view. I think Micah has a lock on game 1, however when the other dawgs hit the field there is no telling who is going to rule. Big backs are big targets. I have seen 5’10 175 lb HS RB’s just rip it up ala Reggie Bush… when college puts 10-15 lbs on a kid they become muscular monsters. With the O line being able to move mass this year I see every RB having decent YPC averages. The biggest obstacle to the run game is the knives in the drawer otherwise known as the receiver room. I already envision a team with a 3:1 scoring ratio. That is probably conservative given the dawgs on defense. If the Buffs go up 4 scores the RBs will be unleashed with the exception of easy passes for Legendary to exploit. The 2nd team should get a lot of reps. I see a team that will play the guys drawing the most blood - for the first half. 2024 is loaded with home run hitters and defensive players looking for prey.

You think Micah Welch is a 🔒 to be starter game 1???? Gotta respect your opinion but I disagree on that one. Definitely think the receivers will make the running game more potent and easier as well
@Leroyjac

@@BuffedInPrime I could be wrong however he seems to have the early steam. I'm not discounting the strengths of the other dawgs. Statistically they should be ahead of him. Time in the program is a plus. It all goes out the window when you go up against your opponents. I just want to see them tear it up... Despite abilities I am going to put the guy that knows the scheme on the field first. After that, its the best man...

How about we run out of running sets first. Can’t keep running out of shotgun when we know our old line is bottom of the road. Does it make much sense. Stack and tie ends. Get into actually running sets and give Running back a chance.

@@brysonbrownlee6719 I appreciate that. I’m not 100% sure about the pass pro comment, however let’s look at it from this angle. This is his 2nd year in Pat Sherman’s offense, also Pat said that Charlie is great at it in a presser. Also, I think the reason why Charlie is in the running because of his IQ and work ethic. He doesn’t care about stats, he’s a true team player.
