The movie I currently list as my favorite of the year so far is Relic, but I'm a horror buff who usually settles on one for my favorite of the year (The Lighhouse and Suspiria previous 2). With it on this one, I'm really curious how your list is going to shake out. From the good, I loved The Invisible Man, The Assistant, and Swallow. As someone who saw and loved Come and See for the first time this year, The Painted BIrd has jumped to the top of my watchlist. I also now plan to see The Lodge and Bacurau for sure and most likely Driveways. The only bad movie I have a comment on is Tenet, which I completely agree with you on here. So many people I know loved it, and I really have so much trouble seeing what just isn't there in that drab, but easy on the eyes I guess, mess. I definitely predict I'm Thinking of Ending Things being top or near the top of this list. Also, possible others: Nomadland, Kajillionaire, Shiva Baby, or Another Round.
@inframeout3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately - Shiva Baby and Another Round haven't released in the UK yet :(

Eh i liked tenet(i admit not for everybody and i am not gonna pretend to understand all the logistics but i like john david washington and spectacle and score and i guess i had better sound experience but not that different from his other movies in that regard) and birds of prey(you mentioned the positives). I feel like i am the only one sometimes. The new mutants was just average af. I liked invisible man quite a bit.
