Actually, if you rewatch the lion king, you’ll notice that simba defeating scar is 100% accurate. Even though simba didn’t have the tooth strength to beat scar in a battle of fangs. He didn’t have to bite scar to defeat him. Simba was losing miserably against scar. But, suddenly turned the tables by just simply kick flipping scar off the ledge. He beat scar with shear dumb luck and a lucky kick. No fangs needed at all.
@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx2 жыл бұрын
As you can see, the reason how Simba defeated Scar and pushed him off the ledge is because he is physically-strong because of his daily routine of eating bugs for breakfast. Scar hasn't been paying attention to his health ever since he conquered the Pride Rock with his hyenas so the only redeeming trait of him is the fact that he possesses some sharper fangs due to age.

You can take the giant worm out, since they are extremely rare. Simba would hardly have a chance of finding at least one throughout his whole life and that’s the best case scenario. Just a few beetles, some grubs, a termite mound or two, and perhaps some smaller worms would do perfectly fine.

I’ve been watching sooo many of matpats older videos. Something I have to say about this one, simba wasn’t just eating a single type of bug. He was eating any bug that Timon and pumba found for him, he wasn’t picky about the type of bug he was eating so quantity was never actually an issue. Also about the tooth thing, he could’ve chewed on sticks or something to keep his teeth strong. Kind of like dogs do.

You know how rabbits sometimes chew on deer antlers to get their calcium? Would Simba be able to find some bones lying around to chew on those to keep his teeth strong?
@dsengupta61892 жыл бұрын
He could. Also termite mounds are literal fortresses. Very few animals, like aardvarks, are actually adapted to breaking into those rock-hard mounds. The rest of the termite eaters usually follow them around or eat the ones on the ground. If Simba has any chance of breaking into those mounds his teeth and claws would have to be strong.

We don’t know if Scar liked the name “Taka” but let’s be honest, Who would like a name that means Trash!? I don’t think Scar actually hated his brother before Mufasa nicknamed him Scar. They might have been good brothers actually. Scar might have wanted to amaze his brother by killing the evil lion and his snake and saving them. But instead when Mufasa just laughed and nicknamed him Scar. That’s when Scar became Scar and Hated his brother. You mentioned Simba's inability to climb trees or dig as being a problem for him to survive on bugs, but what about Timone and Pumba? Are meerkats like Timone good at climbing trees? Are warthogs like Pumba good at digging up worms? Assuming a meerkat is sufficiently driven out of its group and becomes solitary, becoming friends with an equally solitary warthog and then a lion cub, like Timone and Pumba, could that meerkat climb up trees fetch giant caterpillars, well the warthog digs up giant earth worms for their lion cub buddy? Could Timone and Pumba have provided Simba enough help getting bugs, for that alone to resolve any question about how a lion could survive on bugs?

Still, Scar run and hunts for his food. The most exercise Simba gets is digging through the ground and mounds to get bugs. He'll be greatly overpowered by Scar, who is a powerful lion who sharpens his teeth and runs everyday because he had no chance or need to do that in the jungle.

Here's another question. Excluding the sequels and spin offs(honestly just because I haven't seen them) do we even know when the lion king was supposed to take place? Modern lions could have emerged as long as five hundred thousand years ago. Possibly bugs and the giant earthworm could have been more plentiful. Along with other teeth sharpening methods, as far as a cartoon goes anyways, it could have been possible. Just pondering.
@Prokerboss3 жыл бұрын
It’s somewhere in Africa, it’s revealed in the new lion king adaptation.
@danbasford74563 жыл бұрын
There isn't really any mention of a time period official. It could be any year within the last 3,000 years (give or take a century). Actually, that would be a good topic for some channel that does theories about films. 😉
