ACTUALLY, I don't know if you have noticed but everytime Daenerys is introduced, she is called "Stormborn". This was because she was born while she was on a boat on the way to Essos. Her mother and brother ran away a bit before Robert's rebellion reached King's Landing. AND while her mother was giving birth to her, they were on the middle of a storm. This all can be found on the Lore for season 1 or 2. ALSO, the profecy was on Valiryan and that language is not that gender specific. So the profecy could say both Prince or Pricess. So yeah, things are looking good for Daenerys.

How about our favorite Lannister, Tyrion? Theorized to actually be the son of the mad king due to his obsession with Tywin's wife, which would give Tyrion the blood of a dragon. Under the red messenger on Joffrey's name day he took his role as hand of the king, a new life of politics he loved. When Stannis attacked King's Landing, he set the sea ablaze with fire and took to the battlefield as a true leader for the first time, qualifying both the smoke and salt. All that remains is dragons soon following.

You're forgetting Bran though. Magic around him aside, he also fits into this prophecy, although it does go into some book spoilers. The comet appears around the same time his powers awaken and he has magic dreams. Theon is a Greyjoy, a family heavily associated with the sea, which has salt. The salt and smoke is Theon's betrayal that leads to Winterfell being razed to the ground. This event is what causes Bran to leave and start his journey in the first place. The blood of the dragon doesn't come from Bran himself but Bloodraven, AKA the Three-eyed Raven, who's actually a Targaryen bastard. That just leaves the dragon, right? Well, what if Bloodraven is going to teach Bran how to warg Daenerys's dragons in order to combat the Others/White Walkers? After all, he may never walk again, but he will "fly" right?

Spoiler alert First of all something minor but that can be very important, the very first chapter of the books start with the perspective of Bran, that's something interesting since the first chapter is the way you start to introduce all of the characters and you start it with Bran Also regarding the books Bran it's hinted to know that his brothers and sisters are alive both throuhg the dream were he is a tree and when he is warging into summer saying that there are now 4 brothers left. Lastly we know that Dondarrion had a sword like Ligthbringer that shined and emites heat something that the one of Stannis doesn't do (emit heat I mean) but in the books Dondarrion is dead, giving his inmortality to Bran mother's Catelyn and is fine to supose that know she has the sword

0 proof. Bran doesn't have the blood of a dragon, he wasn't reborn among smoke or salt. The only reasonable part of the prophecy if the dragons following him because he's a wog and can control them. Other than that, it doesn't fit

I think you're actually right. The way they described the tale, it sounds like he after quenching the sword into various things, he never actually tempered it (which would involve heating the blade back up to ~400 C for a few hours.) That would explain his stuff breaking all the time.

I'm thinking Arya, like he said G.R.R doesn't like to be literal. So blood of a dragon could be personality based, Kings Landing is on the ocean and we could consider her having been reborn during the execution of her father because she changes from a tomboyish trouble maker to a leader and pitiless killer. Also that would be the day her life, to again use a non-literal interpretation, went up in smoke. And all of this happened around the same time as the birth of the dragons as the meteor fell.

Meh.. Arya doesn't look like a character with proper role in a great war that will come (or not). She is not a warrior like Brienne, she probably cannot use a normal sword properly since she is just a small and skinny assassin girl with a needle. Sadly, but if she is not able to sneak through army of dead wearing white walker's face and cut Night King's throat, I don't see her in this battle at all :(

I'm calling it now. Daenerys will become the main human antagonist for Westeros and when attacking King's Landing, Jorah will realise she's lost her way and followed in her father's footsteps. With no other choice, he'll kill her, much like Jaime killed Aerys, and he'll produce the flame sword. To finally redeem himself in the eyes of Westeros, he'll sacrifice himself to stop the Night's King.

The Film Theorists Well... If you read the books, maybe next week in the season's finale we will see the 'real' rebirth of Jon Snow, not the one where he takes his oath. Incudes a smoking wound, salty tears and a red banner (much more subtle than a huge red comet) to not spoil too much. So if the show shows that scene from the book: yeah that would probably confirm Jon is the prophecised hero since I feel other theories are quite a stretch (and Daenerys herself seems to obvious indeed...)

I just had an *omg* moment while reading A Clash of Kings and I don't remember whether this is mentioned in the video. In the House of the Undying, Daenerys is told that three treasons will be committed against her. Once for blood, once for gold, and once for love. I wondered whether that third treason, the one for love, could be Jorah killing her. EDIT: this would also give another level of meaning to "The Bear and the Maiden Fair." Oh shit.

Waleed Khan I have two thoughts on this. One; The betrayal for gold was Xaro Xhoan Daxos, the one for love will be Darrio, and the one for blood will be Jorah; needing her dragons blood. Or two; all three betrayals are Jorah; he already betrayed her for gold and love so all that is left is blood.

Nah m8 I think it’s Jamie Lannister he has the Blood of the Dragon (the Mad King) on his hands as he’s the kingslayer, was born amid the salt of the sea at Casterly Rock, and the smoke of the Reyne-Tarbeck Rebellion, the Bleeding Star I can’t really explain properly, but the Dragons follow shortly bit could have meant the downfall of the Targaryen dynasty. I’m a bit stuck. However, if Jamie killed his true love (Cersei) it would also satisfy the Valonqar Prophecy, where Cersei’s little brother (Jamie) kills her in order to make lightbringer. Moreover, especially with Jamie going North at the end of Season 7, I think that this makes the theory a little more likely. Also it would give him a nice, redeeming character arc to finish the saga with.

METALMONKEYcarlo probably a very late reply, but Jon is also too obvious. (unfortunately.....) trust me, I wish he was, but G.R.R. Martin is, like everyone always says, extremely unpredictable. The prophecy could be true. The prophecy could be fake. There could be multiple 'chosen ones', which would then might give Jon one of the 'chosen one' roles.

Do you really expect them to give you a happy ending where all the good characters live and the bad guys die? No. This series was confirmed to have a bitter-sweet ending. I believe that when it comes to the finish line the WWs will be destroyed but at least one of either Dany or Jon will die in the process. Another possible twist to this. What if he doesn't kill to fulfil the prophecy. What if he must kill Dany. She's shown some signs of madness from time to time (as a certain theorist pointed out) and she's quite likely to become mad (same theorist). What if Tyrion tried to do what his brother once did, and kill the mad person to save a city. Sir Friendzone would be sure to try to stop him, killing him in the process. Then wracked with guilt, seeing her madness first hand (possibly several episodes later) he realizes what must be done and kills his love. Thus becoming Azor Ahai.

I think you missed a potential candidate too. Gendry could possibly fit the bill too if you scavenge or look enough. Born from Robert Baratheon so he might have the dragon blood in him AND is technically a prince as the prophecy says. He's a smith so chances are he would smith a sword worthy to be the lightbringer. Melisandre goes to Stannis because she "sees" a vision of him on a fire wielding lightbringer, but it could be that she mistook Stannis for an older Gendry. They are relatives after all and other characters have mistaken/found similarities in Gendry from Renly and Robert Jon Arryn before dying said "the seed is strong". It is possible that he was talking about Gendry because Arryn visited him before his death There are some quotes from the book that also worth noting. I would mention them, but I would need to take it out of context so that I won't keep on writing more and more xD.

GRRM's point about war is that history has proven there is nothing redeeming about wars. Wars are never-ending devastation that resolve nothing. Something you're forgetting that every writer could tell you: no one has to fulfill the prophecy "more" to fullfill it. The prophecy is a check list of qualities, based on completion not necessarily intensity. DWD Spoilers: The first chapter in 'Dragons' begins with a skinchanger experiencing the weirwood network before warging permanently into his favorite wolf. Hint one. Hint three: the Old Bear's raven openly says the words "Jon", "Snow" and "KING" all in the same passage, even though Jon openly speculates why. Having never said those words in that order before. Plus there's the last gag where Jon mocks Melisandre and says she promised him a king born of salt and smoke; and daggers in the dark. What do you think they're going to do with Jon after stabbing him? My theory is that Tormund's going to slaughter the conspirators and then take Jon north of the Wall: to be burned in the sight of the Old gods, like Ygritte was. (I do not get that relationship at all!) Burning Jon that way is just poetic: Jon gave Ygritte a proper send off, so Tormund will give him one in kind. It confuses me how much faith people put in the prophecies of Azor Ahai and The Prince That Was Promised. Just because it was foretold doesn't mean anything. We already have an example of a prophecy (The Stallion Who Will Mount The World) that went absolutely nowhere. Further, Rhaegar believed himself to be The Prince That Was Promised, but later became convinced that it was his son Aegon. "The dragon must have three heads" and all that. That's the thing about prophecy. Thanks to the power of metaphor, it can mean absolutely anything and make sense in hindsight. If you have to bend over backwards to make a prophecy work, then maybe it's not worth the effort, yeah?
