i liked both the concept of this terminator and the fact that john was converted into one. shame that they ruined it in the trailer, that the movie was an absolute dumpster fire and that they didn't explore this terminator's duality. after all it is john connor with all his memories intact. he has a very strong will about saving humanity while at the same time wanting to be loyal to skynet as a terminator.

I agree. I think part of it is the film's script shoving literally three films (the future war, altered 1984, 2017) into a single one. There's no time for anything to breathe, so everything has to be stripped down to the bare minimum just to make the film not be five or six hours long. I overall enjoy Genisys but there is no denying that it's less than the sum of its parts and gets worse as it goes on.

@illustriousrocket44763 жыл бұрын
@@lorduvaltv274 I just wish they had conveyed that better. On paper the T-3000 is a great progression from the T-1000 - one of the T-1000's notable flaws was its inability to mimic people's memories and personalities so the natural next step for an infiltrator is one that *can* do that. But again ,the script lets it down by not letting it actually do much on-screen infiltrating, so it's robbed of its best feature.

Terminator: Salvation was just a bad story. I personally thought, before T3 was even released, that a third movie was going to be in the future, where the war eventually was won, but show Kyle Reese, the two T-800's and Liquid Terminator sent back in time. Thus showing how the time loop began and had to be. In the future one cameo scene from the past, where humans saw a video of Dr. Silberman locked up inside an insane asylum, yelling about machines taking over. Becoming what Sarah Conner was accused of being in Terminator 2, Crazy. It would have made total sense for the audience.

The T-3000 is in a way even more advanced than the T-1000 since it is literally based on reengineering an entire human being that's already had a lifetime of experience, knowledge and understanding. It is basically the closest thing we've seen to the ultimate fusion of human and Terminator technology, the ultimate life form.
@blackshogun2725 жыл бұрын
I'd willingly get infected just so I can get an upgrade. Dude imagine if Skynet let human grow up to the age of 21 (when your brain and body have fully developed) and then gives us the choice to "upgrade" and retain all of our emotions and lifestyles ? Everyone would jump on that hype train. Now of course everyone in reality wouldn't be on board with this since it would kinda make us all a hive mind. But this effect should only happen when let's say, the lives of an entire city is at stake from a natural disaster of stuff you know. It would be so much easier for everyone to just stop what they're doing and get going in mass than individually. Plus, whatever they lose in the destructive event can be replaced via nanotech. Though I haven't brought up a more familial topic: pets/animals in general. I really don't want Skynet messing with the animals. I don't think the T-3000 eats so we wouldn't need to kill animals anymore (hunters fall out of chairs) but we'd still need to keep their population stay ecologically stable. As for the pets, I think they should be nanotech free. Or if they are harmed the nanotech can be used to repair their cells but that's it. I'm so sorry for going this in-depth about this concept 😂

Also you're defeating the very purpose of being human. You're giving up your individuality and what makes you you and the things that make you happy. Great video. Just a couple of points - a) John’s presence would have affected the timeline, but it was already altered from what we knew by pops and the T-1000 being sent back to 1973. B) There is no indication that this John went through the events of T2. C) The T-800 could only punch through the T-3000 because of his magnetic ‘glove’. Kyle did the same. D) The T-3000 was destroyed in Cyberdyne’s quantum field generator, not a TDD.

T-600 T-700 and other models like the T-900(CAMERON) ect we need more info on these models.
@linkheroofhyrule93644 жыл бұрын
There's not much to tell. The T-600 is bulky, stands out, its software is in major need of upgrading, constantly needs calibrating, and is easy to kill. Skynet attempted to hide this flaw by covering the later T-600 models with rubber skin but they were still easy to spot by the human eye, particularly because of their movement. Skynet was actually on the losing side until they started using infiltrators to find hidden bases and destroy them from inside as shown in the first Terminator movie. The T-700 frame was significantly reduced but still suffered the similar issues to the T-600. On top of that, because of the smaller frame, they were more prone to damage. They attempted to experiment with living tissue but their size was still unnatural so they moved on to a stronger, denser alloy while decreasing the size of the frame and thus the T-800 prototype we see in Terminator Salvation was the end result.

The John Connor phase matter virus fusion is a interesting conundrum. Ultimately the phase matter virus has overcome him, but theres still something of him in there coming through. Which lends to his strength of character. Has to be said at least despite the novel approach of the movie.

Given what happened to Arnie with the upgrade at the end I was really looking forward to a sequel to this. I must be the only person around that has loved all the Terminator films and I am often left frustrated and angry at the reception they all get after T2. T2 was a rare breed one of those things that only happen every so often just like certain video games that raise the bar and people just want the same level up again in the next film yet its just not possible. T2, Aliens, Predator, Robocop, all suffer from the same with people expecting the next to be just as ground breaking but it just doesn't happen. Be happy that we get sequels be sad that so many people spoil things for the rest of us.

In the storyboard for T2 they show that Skynet covered the T-1000 in a organic shell (similar to an Xenomorph egg) and sent it back that way, the shell burnt off during the jump resulting in the T-1000 arriving by itself... They decided not to film this as they were worried they would confuse viewers

Had Skynet simply used the machine phase matter as a weapon, using conventional delivery vectors to infect humanity in chemical/biological warfare, it'd have easily won the war - infected human subject would either convert or die, in either case it's 100% lethality.
