Your caption mentions Hermione Gingold. Where is she-? Maybe, in the recreation of the Broadway, Asian Themed Musical Production Number; (WHAT WAS THAT SHOW-?; &, THAT TUNE-?);...or, perhaps, she was once, a member of: "The Bob Hanson Dancer's Troupe"; who did a credibly fine job, in their somewhat awkwardly themed routine. One of Frank's daughters: Nancy ->was definitely also here. As were: Joey Bishop; Sammy Davis, Jr.; The Nelson Riddle Orchestra; &, Elvis had brought 4 singers, with him; who were maybe The Jordanaires; plus: Frank Sinatra; of course; (it is his show-special); &, a gaggle of dancers; but;... But, that other actress; Ms. Gingold-?;...Where was she-? &, In addition, Mr. Lawford, doesn't show up, until: two-thirds of the way into this special; he tries a number w/: Sammy; &, puts up w/: a jab/poke, by Davis, at Lawford's expense. But, Lawford, actually does a pretty good job, in the song; &, dance routine number. Don't think it was superb; &, Sammy always outshined everyone; but, Peter's hoofing was credible, here; to me. &, Notably: A.: This was the last show special of Frank's; that was one of a few, he got on TV; rather than always doing full series of his own; &, this one, was: The Frank Sinatra-Timex (Sponsored) Show. &, B.: It was: 1960; Not: '59; as others, have also, stated; here. &, C.: It was officially titled: "The Timex Show"; but, has been thought of, by the public ever since; to be another one of the many shows, loosely named: The Frank Sinatra Show. &, D.: This appeared on the least potent of the: then, only, major; existing; 3, national; powerful; U.S. Television Networks: ABC; but, has not been since forgotten; like so very much else; produced by them, as that network's; decades long, inferior content, often has been. This particular Sinatra special stood out, in my views; due to Frank's talent; his superlative materials; &, accompaniment; &, his guests; who were, in this case: his, illustrious Rat Pack, fellow members; &, most of all, on his very big, post-Army service entertainment appearance; for: the inimitable; iconic; &, legendary: singer; performer; &, interpretor; Elvis Presley; (along w/: Frank's remarkable daughter; performer; dancer; singer; actress: Nancy Sinatra); how could this one episode from the careers of both these, very much, larger than life, American Cultural Luminaries; not, stand out; &, shine more brightly, than most. E.: The episode did have some corny humor: &, corny numbers. But, as per Frank's style, even this nonsense was done with class; &, in a jazzy manner. &, F.: If one watches the whole episode, one gets enough context, to see easily, how; &, why Frank; &, Elvis, interacted so playfully. It was because that was the vibe; in general; that Sinatra; &, Davis; Bishop; Etc.; set, as the overall theme, for the show: comedic; cute; jokey; light; chummy; friendly; pals-ey; Bishop; &, Frank himself; etc.; so, Elvis fell in w/: the mood, that was already there; as the scene that prevailed in that particular environment; &, in my opinion, he did so; fit in; with this league, so well, that it did convince me, that if Elvis had wanted to; he coulda been a contenda, in the world of these Middle-Of-The-Road Regular Guys. That was not to be the case; however, as Presley's heart chased after something more risque, for the whole of his lifetime; &, for most of it; he seemed to have it, caught in a bottle; although, no one holds that light, captured forever. &, G.: Despite most of the numbers that Elvis did on this show, his seriousness, in performance; was more notable here, as it stood apart, from the, predominantly, jestering: joviality; &, jocularity, of Frank; &, His Crew's: typical gallavanting ethos. However, Sinatra, did do a great; serious; solo; number, up at his opening of this "act"; &, his duet, w/: Elvis, successfully manages to combine a sense of both the, playful; &, the, serious; which is: a very hard; &, very rare feat, to achieve. &, H.: For me, personally, Presley's rendition of "Stuck On You"; is one of the best versions of that number of his, I've ever seen him do. &, I.: If a complete breakdown; w/: detailed descriptions of all the content; &, cast members, of this episode were available, I'd love to read all the way, through it. &, J.: For some reason, it is still amazing to me, at this early age in Presley's too short life; how beautiful; &, right; in a sort of manner of perfection, his movements, truly were. &, K.: The passive-aggressive jokes that Frank made w/: Elvis, regarding the non-availability, of Nancy, to Presley; felt too cringe; &; this, was not, so funny; to me. In addition, it seemed very obvious, that there was, very much, very positive chemistry, between: Elvis; &, Nancy, that could've been further explored; somehow; someway; &, somewhere; even, albeit: comedically. &, L.: Also, incredibly, arresting, is that Nancy, is only: 20 yrs. Old; yet, seems much older; &, far more mature, to me; just by looking at her; here. Even, at that age; though, she did a fine job; herself; w/: her dance routine. &, M.: Also, we are made aware, at the very end, that this seemed to take place at: "(The) Fountainbleu Hotel" in: Miami's, Miami Beach Section. It still exists there; &, has still operates a, very much, in-demand; &, very overly expensive nightclub; but, it is no longer involved in hosting: such National TV Network; nationally televised; extra-special; high-profile broadcasts; like this one; which had more to do w/: Sinatra; &, his buddies; &, Gleason; &, theatrical agents at the time, than the hotel; per se. &, N.: Though some elements do strongly appear, which make this episode w/: Elvis still hugely magnetic for me; I can't always put a firmer set of words on; or, my exact fingers, upon; precisely why that is. However, to me, it is undeniable. To me; as seen here; &, in many elsewheres, when he was present; his energy strongly captivated many. As I, myself, still view this, all these so very many years later; &, long after, his sadly passed demise; I still feel his ability, to still capture me; in ways I still can't fully explain. It just was; &, is: a, fact. Perhaps, for those, that this escapes; &, for which, no explication, will suffice, you did just simply, have, to have been there. &, O.: This was rarely, both : a, show; and, a, special; since by his contract, Frank set it up as a series of specials! Please Note, Also: *Hermione.
