Beth... You've put it perfectly as to what I take issue with Kajol as an actress, "moments where she was doing a nice job and moments where she was super irritating". Having seen early Kajol, peak era Kajol, 2000s Kajol and streaming era Kajol, I could never put a finger as to what is it that stops me from fully loving her but I now see that there's no sort of balance in her dialogue delivery, she's either super explosive which reads off as shrill and when she's not explosive, she doesn't really pull of being the character instead coming across as Kajol the person playing pretend. The only time where I believe in any of her performances is when she's crying, that is something she's super good at and honestly she will always be one of my favourite on screen cryers. I think the only performance of hers I have been fully impressed by her was in Gupt (1997). I just wish she could find a sense of balance with her characterisation because there's such room for greatness but she has confessed to being a lazy actor which is a shame as I'm never enamoured by her performances despite her being such a renowned actress. I look forward to her Superstars episode because I have so much to say about her as an actress and a personality.

It’s surprising that Kajol hasn’t played that many officers.

I just wish I saw ‘Santosh’ that got a lot of rave reviews recently.

I hadn't even heard of that one! The wiki entry says a young widow inherits her husband's job of police officer...I wonder how that works!

@ It’s a government scheme to assist widows. Atleast that’s what I think the plot tells us
