The Bluetooth button setup. Awesome
@Filmicpro5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is a nice little feature for sure. And also if you have a gimbal that doesn't have FiLMiC Pro integration - but can pair under the Bluetooth settings menu - then this will at least give you the ability to start/stop recording from it.

I wasn't aware of the down sample option. Of course 3 years on from this video the icon is a bit different, but easy enough to find. The use volume keys to start recording is a feature I only recently became aware of, but with the headphone option and also the "cheap generic remote" it is something I will use going forward. Thanks for the tips 🙂

Thank you for the reminders. Question, is there a way to move the “Imaging Panel” slightly, so it doesn’t cover the “Time Code Area”?
@Filmicpro5 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronald. Not at present but we certainly appreciate the question. Out of curiosity why do you need to see the time code medallion when adjusting your white balance? Thanks!
@ronaldquint5 жыл бұрын
Good question. I was just wishing to move the Imaging Panel up, just a little, so as not to cover up the “Time Code Area”. I like the “Lumitry Scopes”.

It'd be great if y'all could do an interview with Soderbergh to talk about how he shot his iphone movies. How he lit. How he exposed. Settings he used. Etc.

"2. Adjust Kelvin in Increments of 50." This doesn't work for me. Using an iPhone 12 Pro Max and Filmic Pro version 6.13.3 (Build 17362). Any help or suggests would be greatly appreciated. By-the-way, why doesn't the sun icon provide a color temperature of 5500 Kelvin--the summer sun at noon? That's the baseline for all lighting!

Unfortunately, the bluetooth remote trick doesn’t work if you are using an add-on microphone that plugs into the headphone jack. It thinks you are using phones, and the remote reverts back to controlling the volume, not the on/off

I had been frustrated in wanting to use a Bluetooth shutter release with FiLMiC and not knowing how. It was ridiculous that, with your phone mounted on a tripod, you still needed to start and stop video recording by “pushing the button” and risk jiggling the take. Your info solves the problem! It is astounding to me that all consumer technology, no matter how advanced and expensive, comes with little instruction beyond turning it on and turning it off! Shouldn’t FiLMiC Pro, along with everyone else, have a complete manual available for consumers? We have to depend on 3rd party users to explain what they have discovered, instead of learning it from the experts. (No offense intended; I have already mentioned how superior your video is, and I have subscribed and “liked’ you.). But as software evolves and is improved, the earlier videos become outdated and invalid. But there’s no way to know this because they live on KZbin forever, even so. Thanks for letting me vent! Again, none of this is directed at you except my extreme thanks for the info I have LONG sought!

Yet ANOTHER great tutorial, and as someone challenged by technology, I cannot thank you enough for them! One suggestion, and it is quite possible that I am doing something wrong, but the Filmic Remote app (specifically for when Wi-Fi is NOT available) continues to haunt me, and I cannot get them to pair. When I do it in my home (over Wi-Fi), they pair (although the image quality is terrible), but when I get to a shoot, and have no Wi-Fi, I cannot get a peer network connected. It is more than likely user error, but a dedicated video to peer networking would be awesome!
