I always like how the gang takes turns being smarter than the others or more dominate over the others. Dennis and Frank are usually the more dominate 2 of the group, but then you get episodes like this where Charlie is clearly the one in charge. Or the Gas Crisis episode where Mac is in charge. Dennis' "You want me to take 5?" bit with Charlie is always so funny to me

This episode was so legendary they took it on tour. Watching their podcast especially about this episode really makes you appreciate them even more so than you already do. This episode for me was the absolute peek of how much I liked this show back in the day. There have been other peeks since then but this was definitely up there and still is, even after all these years.

Remember when I told you to hold that thought after the scene where Charlie and Dennis come up with that song whilst huffing paint? It came back in this. This is def a fan favourite. It was the second episode I ever saw but definitely gets better once you know the characters. They also did a mini tour of the US performing the musical (and didn't charge entry iirc), which is awesome. You can find clips of it online.

Yeah, based on what you know of Charlie's past, it's clearly about him. The Nightman is Uncle Jack, he'd pay the Troll's (Charlie's Mom's) rent in exchange for being able to R the little boy (Charlie.) The Dayman is Mac, since while it was daytime he could be outside playing with Mac, away from his uncle.
