Its really sad about the disbandment. I thought they will go further because they change their music. Thank you for the tribute to Gfriend. Many, like you, are still puzzled over their departure from SourceMusic. It didn't make sense, particularly the way it happened without any notification. It's cool to get the filmmaking perspective from your reaction. Gfriend's early MVs probably ran on a modest budget and it isn't surprising that few effects were used. I think the first one that broke the mode was "Fingertip" when CGI was used. The MV budget for Gfriend truly became noticeable only after Big Hit's acquisition of SourceMusic. It's also interesting to get your comments on editing and lighting, something less discussed, even though they are an integral part of the final product. I saw someone already pointed out that Eunha's real name is Eunbi. I didn't think you got the name wrong when you said it in the video. Cheers!

Yes I was really shocked when I heard it and a bit confused even when I read that it was about contract disagreements because it feels like that could've been discussed earlier. Feels a bit strange. That definitely makes sense, a lot of groups start out with smaller budgets but that's not a bad thing, you can make a beautiful MV with a small or medium budget as this MV shows. It's all about the creativity and intention 🥰

All 6 members have now signed with new companies. Sowon is now known by her real name Kim Sojeung and will become an actress. She has a movie coming out next year where she has a leading role as someone who starts to see ghosts after an accident and develops a humorous, romantic relationship with a ghost in her house. Yerin has two KDramas in the pipeline with the first already completed and being released next month called The Witch Shop reopens where she plays a witch whose spells always go wrong and a romcom where she is in the middle of a love triangle being released next year. She will be an all rounder as she has already been a celebrity DJ and a model on fashion shoots as well as singing solo a full song on a beer promotion. Yuju signed a contract last month to become a solo artist but hasn’t released any music yet. The other 3 members have formed a new rookie girl group called VIVIZ and since they signed 4 weeks ago they have produced lots of content with them giving lots of interviews, performing as catwalk models for Seoul Fashion Week and now hosting their own radio shows on StationZ for 4 weeks where they sing live.

I know that you said that you will be reacting to more GFriend videos soon so I hope you do. But it has been over 2 months now so I am sad that you might have forgotten them. I love your analysis of their music videos and would love to see more of this. I would suggest that you react to the missing videos in order of release so you get a feel for their gradual progression. So Glass Bead, Rough, Fingertip, Love Whisper, Summer Rain and Sunny Summer would be the order.
