Im not sure why nobody has mentioned this but in the I DO I DO they are making a memory box for Goo Hara the member who sadly passed away in 2019 and the Group as a whole. the lyrics reference wishing to be next to someone wherever they may be and there's a couple mentions to time they wish they could take back. the Members you see in the vid are Gyuri, Seungyeon, and Nicole who where part of the original lineup. Jiyoung who joined a year later. and Youngji who joined in 2014 for their last 2 releases Mamma Mia and Cupid after Nicole and Jiyoung left because they didnt renew contracts. Those 5 members reunited with When I move and make direct referance to Hara in the mv and then released another single which is this one.

Hi! So Mr. was not a Japanese track, but a B-Side of their 2nd album, Revolution (title track: Wanna) that got a lot of attention, mainly because of the dance. It was later released as a single in Japan

I think most people who were not around for the releases get confused, because their was no video for the Korea release (2009-07-30) but because Mister was Kara's first Japanese Single (2010-08-11) there most certainly was a Japanese MV. Any Korean Music video that exists is an unofficial dubover of the Japanese one.

Mister is far and away Kara's most popular song, their biggest contribution to K-pop all-time classics. It's funny how it's a B-side that was just supposed to be the other song to perform for their comeback stages with Wanna in 2009. Then the choreography just made the whole song go viral and a couple of weeks later, Mister became the song they were promoting in music shows and the one getting them music show wins. It never even had an official music video. When Kara later debuted in Japan a couple of years later, they picked Mister as their debut song there and that's why there is an official music video for the Japanese version.

Mister is pretty much the most successful b-side in all of kpop history. the original title track was "wanna", which most ppl don't even know. they performed "mister" along with "wanna" on a music show, and ppl went crazy for it. so much so that "wanna", while a good song, is not known to kara casuals. i also want to concur with txt soobin that blonde jumping era gyuri is elite lol. of course as a godess she is always elite, but she looks particularly beautiful there. really looking forward to the killing voice! 😊

Love Kara so much. I'd obviously ask you to check out the likes of Rock U, Pretty girl and Honey, but maybe those would be better to hear while watching the Killing Voice first and then going back for those. The wild thing about Mister is the girls were preparing to promote Wanna as the title track, but all the music stations insist they change to Mister because it's an absolute banger.

like has been mentioned in the comments section, Mister was actually a Korean B-side from their 2nd full album (title track was Wanna - i love both songs and many more in the album), they performed Mister as additional stage during their comeback week and it got so popular surpassing their title track. in fact, Kara and Brown Eyed Girls shot up to be among the top in popularity for the year they respectively released Mister and Abracadabra mainly for the dances(both songs became major craze on that year) but of course, the song is cool too, i prefer their comeback stages personally than the mv,...it was the moment of impact. i guess they made a Japanese version mv instead since they already had title track mv for the album so they used the song's popularity to promote in Japan. and i'm just happy you loved them for their vocals since back then they're always scrutinized n looked down on for their vocals even though they could sing live wayy better than some bigger names and since debut at that even if they're no top vocals and i do think they keep improving. and their fandom is Kamilia. ponytail member is Hara(the late member), their visual and one of the main/lead dancers alongside Nicole. watching your reactions is reconnecting me back with my love for KARA's music. thanks for that.

Yeah.....the japanese versions of korean songs (versus actual japanese releases) are always kinda odd but Kara is definitely better at it compared to a lot of other groups bc they spent SO MUCH time in japan and were so popular there. Not sure of the other members but I know Seungyeon (the SUPER cute one-who's also ageless, she literally looks the exact same today-that does all the belts) still has kept up her japanese and is fully fluent.The legendary performance is the Music Core stage from 2009. It's literally the stage that made those outfits A THING (and fun story, i think something like their originally intended outfits weren't delivered in time so they just threw something on that was backstage which were those jumper pants and just altered/cut/tied the tshirts and it became a legendary look for the group). Just recently during the KBS Global Festival in Japan, STAYC covered Mister and it was really well done!

Since you are loving Kara so much after Killing Voice I suggest you check out a guide or well even though it's long there is Midnight Theories video Re:Kara The Legacy of Kara & How They Revolutionized the Industry. Especially since they were inactive when a lot of people were getting into kpop, a lot of newer fans don't realize how big they were especially in Japan as well. Also since you have got your eye on Nicole, her solo music is some bops. They don't get as much attention cause she is with a smaller label and is now "old" in the industry but they are really good.

It's the other way around. It was originally a Japanese single, but because it was such a big hit they also made a Korean version. That's why there's only a Japanese MV.
