I served 20 years as a serviceman , the most dangerous man I ever knew was a little quite slight looking submariner. He was a royal navy boxing champion . He was super fast and super strong . He scared the hell out of me and I was a "mate" . Never judge a book by it's cover. It might be a very scary book !!!!!!

Ohhhhh YES. I saw a slight one take down giant in about 15 seconds. It's not about size it's about phychosis or attitude! The SAS are not muscle men.... That's their prey.

I was a lieutenant in the Air Force when I met a Chief Master Sergeant (E-9 -- the highest enlisted rank) who was 34 years old. As I recall, he stood about 5'7" and weighed maybe 140 dripping wet. He wore a parachute badge and nine rows of ribbons. Air Force Special Ops.

@@hlynnkeith9334the scariest man I’ve ever known is a Belgian friend, 6 ft 5, 250 lbs. He was heavyweight judo champion of Belgium, became a para commando, and also a boxer. At age 60 he has 9% body fat, he lifts weights one hour each day, works out with a heavy bag, goes on hour long hikes with his dogs each day. He eats almost no processed food, adds no salt or spices to food. He is the real deal, unlike all the little men mentioned in comments.

When you live in a socialist welfare state, which the USA is rapidly becoming, respect for the hardworking and loyal is the first to go. Remember the old saying, "A generous man is merely a fool in the eyes of a thief." Similarly, a hardworking and loyal man is merely an idiot in the eyes of a welfare leech.

Unfortunately, it's not likely to get better. The sad fact is that the idea of the US being the most powerful country in the world is no longer accurate. That description now belongs to China. And make no mistake: They are coming for us. They're annexing the entire South China Sea (look it up). Taiwan (of course) and South Korea are in their sights. The East China Sea--and Japan along with it--will be next. Japan has made the unbelievably stupid mistake of swearing off nuclear weapons...they're going to need them. Meanwhile, Russia is trying to expand into its neighboring states although they admittedly are not doing the greatest job of it. And although it was reported a month or so ago Russia and China have been JOINTLY flying recon missions against Alaska, clearly probing the US defenses. The US stupidly unfroze Iranian assets at a time when Iran was basically broke. As a result Iran is now able to finance Hamas and Hezbollah, whose fundamental reason for existing is to wipe Israel off the map. US professors are assisting their efforts by indoctrinating our young people to become Hamas puppets. And finally, North Korea has been actively working for decades on ways to expand into South Korea. The result of all this is that the US is under a coordinated attack by unified forces whose sole goal is to remove us from the world stage. And the sad fact is that we're helping them by focusing on social issues while simultaneously being completely oblivious to what's coming. Don't believe me? Look at history: Look at the way Germany expanded into Europe in WWII. Look at how North Vietnam expanded into South Korea in the 70s. Look at how Russia is now expanding into Ukraine. Make no mistake: The US' way of life is under coordinated attack by forces committed to exterminating us. And what are we doing about it? Nothing...well, that's not really accurate: WE ARE HELPING THEM! Wake up people...while there is still time.

Yeah. It's an unfortunate occurrence, but these type of action movies seem to end in about the same way. The directors seem to feel that they have to keep out doing themselves to keep the movie interesting. That only seems to work for the youthful viewer. Us older guys don't need that to enjoy the show if the plot and the acting is well done.

So it is all implausible contrived BS, the sort of film yanks love, a title guy winning against apparently insurmountable odds.
@PamP3277

@@alexmorgan3435 I've never seen the movie, but just watching this recap, I saw the explanation (that you apparently missed) that he didn't attack the robbers because he knew they were basically harmless. In a real situation similar to the home invasion scene, there are many variables that the victim has to assess in a few seconds or less, and every situation is different. Hutch made the only rational decision he could. He knew the robbers were rank amateurs who barely knew what they were doing, and he didn't want to risk destroying the "deep cover" of the boring life he had worked so long to maintain. As we see later in the film, when he and his family were confronted with a serious threat, he reacted very much differently and wasn't concerned about his "cover life."

Nick and Nate Diaz? Some bad dudes. And Jon Jones has the skinniest calves on a man you'll ever see as a light heavyweight. Literally the baddest man on the planet. 140 weight grapplers? Unless you have that skill and outweigh them by 40 pounds you're forked. If you don't have the skill and cover them by 40 still forked. Technically they have to be amazing on the ground at that weight. Wiry and Wicked and there's nothing you can do about it. Look for the messed up ears. It'll tell you they don't give af.

This is a good movie. Lots of action and a moving, yet predictable plot. Well worth watching. I am looking forward to the sequel.
